I was thinking about this for awhile now and I was wondering would you guys take on JR Smith. Don't kill me this is how I see it. I was thinking something alo the line of Smith for West

Point Guard Mo Williams Daniel Gibson Eric Snow
Shooting Guard Sasha Pavlovic Tarence Kinsey
Small Forward LeBron James Wally Szczerbiak Billy Thomas
Power Forward Ben Wallace J.J. Hickson Lance Allred
Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas Anderson Varejao

SF:James/Szcerbiak/Thomas
PF:Wallace/Hickson/Allred
C:Ilgauskas/Varejao
SG:Smith/Pavlovic/Kinsey
PG:WIlliams/Gibson/Snow

I like playing small and very fast too:
SF:Pavlovic
PF:James
C:Varejao
SG:Smith
PG:Williams

J R Smith wouldnt be bad if you deal west, but williams and gibson are rather injury prone, might be hurting for a point guard come season end. My possible trade idea would be this

Heat get
Andy V.
Delonte West (sign and trade or qualifying offer)
Wally Z.
First round pick 2009
First round pick 2011

Cavs get
S. Marion
M. Blount

Some smallerknown players would be needed to make money match but this deal makes a lot of since if your miami and wont resign marion. You get picks to help in future trades and the cap room to sign a solid small forward in the off season.Andy fills the center spot and can resign him if they think he is worth the money and west fills a point guard hole in the short term. Wally plays the 3 and then gives them flexibility. Andy, beasley, wally, wade, and west would be solid, but the cap flexibility the summer before wade can opt out is huge.

Cavs get a guy who can run with lebron and fits into mike browns defensive mentality , doesnt hurt that he can shoot a little. Blount would be the 4th big but could help out in limited minutes and his contract comes off in "the offseason". The draft picks really dont mean anything because the cavs woill be picking in the bottom five yearly if this trade went down. Like i said this deal only makes since to miami if A. they stink and B. they know that marion wont be back.

If you guys traded the you would also need to play somewhat of a faster pace as well

Cavs
SF:James
PF:Marion
C:Varejao
SG:Pavlovic
PG:Williams

this would be the best line up tho

My answer would be an immediate "Oh Heck No!!" but I might dislike Marion more than some others around here. I do no that we'd be idiots to give up that much for him however. Personally I'd prefer not to have him on the team period.

I don't think Outlaw has ever said "Oh Heck Yeah" to a trade...

Out of those two deal I would rather go with the first one because you get more than you give.

Mo. Williams, Smith, James, Wallace, and Ilgauskas is awhole lot better than adding Marion to your team.

No way i do that marion trade, we give up all that for a guy who is gonna be asking for a huge contract and someone who might not even fit here that well.....

Just posted this on the trades board-

I would try to work a deal around:

Delonte West
Eric Snow
Chi 2nd
Cash

for

JR Smith
Chucky Atkins
Stephen Hunter

Cavs get their shooting guard. Denver gets a Point guard that fits the backcourt with AI. Denver gets Eric Snow's contract in which he already sent retirement paperwork in. They get Snow's contract for injury riddled Chucky Atkins who was supposed to be their starting PG but played sparringly, and Steven Hunter who automatically lost more minutes(he didnt have) with the Denvers signing of Chris "Birdman" Anderson. They were both two year deals Denver get out of almost immediately. Even though Denver lowered the cap Cavs send max cash to offset any addition in luxury tax. Plus they get a Early second which may be better than the late 1st they would receive of the Cavs own pick because they had cap issues this year and sold their late 1st rder for nothing, so a early 2nd which does not warrant a guarunteed signing may suit them better but I am certain Cavs could possibly send a protected 1st if need be.

I'd say yes to that.

Big YES to Smith, Atkins, and Hunter for West, Snow, Pick, and $.

Big Hell NO to anything involving Marion.

Denver would be insane to trade JR Smith for Delonte West.

I like this trade proposal. Denver would want a 1st rounder for sure though.

If they go in full firesale mode and want to restructure the team maybe it's possible? Doubt it..
