Rookie PGs with a good season avg 10ppg and 4ast. I think Rose is going to have a good season but he wont be top5.
I think Billups falls more than he did last year and Dumars will regret not going forward with trading him like he wanted to in the beginning of the season.
If Arenas doesnt have knee problems he will easily be close to the top. If not Wizards will want their money back.
Oh and Calderon will do good but he will miss TJ Ford.
Mo will have to become more efficient due to less touches in Cle offense.
1. Gilbert Arenas
2. Andre Miller
3. Mo Williams
4. Chauncey Billups
5. Jose Calderon
Sleepers:
Luke Ridnour- I think he could make Bucks a better team
Jamal Tinsley- If he ends up in Miami and healthy he could be dangerous with Flash and Marion
Stephon Marbury- This one was a joke but if he concedes to D'antoni and they keep him,I'd watch

Rose hasn't even played one second of regular season basketball. I have no idea how good or bad he is, time will tell.
I didn't even get to see him that much in the SL because of his injury and really I wasn't that impressed with what I did see. I actually thought Chalmers looked better, we'll see what happens.
He will need to work on his jumpshot or he's going to have problems being effective in the half court.

Absolutely man. I really dont know how the guy who put up this post could have put him at 4rd? that one is a weird one for me too man. LOL. But the ten you had up here were pretty much hittin the nail on the head absolute.

I certainly wouldn't put him third or fourth but i can see him being better than bibby, nelson, and felton. I also think how he does will be affected in the keep or trade hinrich.. so he could get big minutes or not as many depending on that..

Now lets remember what the question stated "The best PG in the E.C. by the number only"
1. So here we go 3. Dre Miller 17.0
Gilbert Arenas 19.4 rebs 3.9
rebs 3.9 assists 6.9
assists 5.1 steals 1.3
steals 1.8
2.Mo Williams 17.2 4 Billups 17.0
rebs 3.5 rebs 2.7
assists 6.3 assists 6.8
steals 1.2 steals 1.3
5.Calderon 11.2
2.9
8.3
1.1
Now these stats are solely by the numbers & the ball don't lie {check for yourself} . So I think my rating of Mo was more on the conservative side if you take in account with who & what he was playing with to compared to WHO is is playing with now. Now as far as Rose is concern I guess I should take my own advice about not taking things so personnel due to the fact it can make your thought process cloudy. However I would like to revisit my position in a couple of years

I guess you are correct and this thread did get a little off topic then.. but numbers only mean so much so i would have rather discussed how it was going..

Holy crap this thread is hilarious. I want all of you to think back to last year and seriously tell me you'd put Mo in the top 3 of PG in the east. None of you would. I'm one of the biggest Mo fans in Milwaukee and top 5 is a stretch for me.
Better than Billups....wow.
I'm glad you guys are excited for Mo, you should be....but lets get real.

Cavs fans always overrate their players. By the way some fans talked about Delonte West you would have thought he was Gary Payton in his prime. You just have to understand most fans are like that, but it seems a lot of Cleveland fans vastly overrate their players.
Where I ranked Mo in this thread (#4) is exactly where I would have ranked him before the Cavs even acquired him. What PGs do you think are better than him in the East? I have no idea how he could be ranked below #5 so top 5 is not a stretch at all to me.
It's hard to put a list together because each player would fit certain situations better than others even though they might not be a better overall player.
What's the most shocking to me from my list is Kirk Hinrich didn't even make my top 12. My goodness he fell off last season. He needs to get back to the drawing board, whatever he did last season didn't work. A couple years ago I thought he was one of the best up and coming PGs in the NBA.

He's behind Gilbert, Andre, TJ, Jose and Billups. He's in the discussion with Devin Harris and rondo as 6th best imo.

Rondo is more of a facilitator than Mo.. He looks to setup his teammates more on dribble penetration, and within transition..
Mo Williams is more of a scorer..IMO he's more of a Jason Terry type of PG, and could be a better overall scorer than Jason...
In terms of ranking within the east, I'm not going to do that because it's completely different now.. A few questions need to be made...
We have no idea if Mo will perform better because he's got a legit player next to him that commands virtually all the attention from the defense, and has the ability to set Mo up, whereas in Milwaukee Mo was the lone facilitator since nobody else could create...
Or
Will Mo find it tough to find his niche playing next to that same player that has a lot ran through him ??? Can Mo play off the ball consistently, can he play in an offense that catered towards one player ??
Or
Will the Cavs offense change now that Mo is here, and there is indeed another true scorer to pair with LeBron ?? Will the offense alter to play LeBron off the ball.. Can LeBron play off the ball consistently ??
So many little things are going to change because of this move considering the move is at the ever important PG position... Also, we'll probably also have to factor in down the road when there's potentially another trade involving Wally and Snow, and incorporating another new face to the lineup...
Luckily enough they will have a full camp to get some of these things sorted out... The question remains if this coaching staff is fully capable... Was it the lack of talent or was it the staff in general ??
With that said, if I had to rank my top 5 PG's in the east prior to this deal, it would have been the following..
1- Billups
2 Gilbert
3 Andre
4 Mo
5 Calderon

Funny how things change.

Calderon was in All Star discussions last year, Mo was nowhere close and now he's better?

2nd tier
Jose Calderon
Andre Miller
Rajon Rondo
Devin Harris
Kirk Hinrich - pre last year
TJ Ford
3rd tier
Jameer Nelson
Mo Williams
Mike Bibby
Raymond Felton
4th tier
Luke Ridnour
Chris Duhon
5th tier
Miami
Undecided
Rose, Marbury

You are overlooking Rondo as second tier. I find that hilarious. He really shouldn't even be starting.
