Ok I'm not just doing moves to do moves but I guess it is just gauging to see if everyone is trying to move in the same direction. Taking advantage of our situation and others around the league. So with that said I know that we are greatly compared to the Spurs due to connections and our system so here is the next idea:
We are looking for our defensive wing and there are three young guys that can become our wing(SG/SF doesnt need to start but can be a key reserve). Two have the capabilities of becoming that Bruce Bowen defender who can learn to hit the open shot while the other is more like Mario Ellie with good mix of both offense and defense.
The first two are on the market and are available because they may be squeezed for minutes with their teams new additions and situations. One Corey Brewer(22) who with everything in Minnesota may have lost his spot to Carney who got shipped in from Philly and is liked by McHale. The other is Thabo Sefolosha who we wont be able to get as easily as Brewer due to fact he is a Bull. Thabo(24) is said to be the odd man out if Bulls reach an agreement with Ben Gordon.
The third guy is Matrell Webster(21) who has made great leaps defensively and is starting SF for Portland. He is in a contract year but so is Outlaw(not ours) who wants to start and is likely extended. Portland also got Nicholas Batum from overseas and will likely be brought over next year or after but they are very high on.
All guys can play either wing position and is a big guard like Brown likes. I think Brewer is the easiest to get but you tell me:(I dont know if we can use Snow's contract but I like this)
Eric Snow
Cash
for
Corey Brewer
Brian Cardinal
2nd rd pick (houstons)
2010 is still intact, Minn saves money and we have our defender that will get many open shots with Bron and Mo and just has to get it down. Plus we get a late pick.
