Would you trade Varaejo + Wally + 1st round pick for Odom?

Just a random question by a random NBA fan.

Considering Cleveland wants a PF, would you do Varaejo + Wally + 1st round pick for Odom?

Mo/West/LBJ/Odom/Z, the lineup would be solid.

Thoughts?

My answer would be no. While the Cavs could use a PF Odom is only masquerading as a PF. The Cavs need someone who is tough and grabs rebounds and scores in the paint. Odom is none of the above. Not to mention I think you drastically overate his value with this trade.

No way for the reasons Outty stated.

Absolutely not.

Wally and the pick is fine, but adding Varejao makes this stupid.

I'd say the trade should be Wally and however many picks it takes to get VC.

Z
Ben
LeBron
Vince
Mo

That's a championship-level starting 5 right there.

Vince scares me. He could play well as a 2nd/3rd option with Mo & LBJ but he could also rapidly decline due to some of his injury issues of late and his defense isn't all that great either.

He is also owed huge dollars.

I don't think the Lakers would do that trade to be honest. Cleveland probably wouldn't have a very good pick. Wally would be behind a slew of SF's we've already got (Ariza, Walton, Radman, etc.) and also Varrejo is sick, I like the guy, but we've got Bynum and Gasol. It sounds like neither party would really want to do the deal.

You guys are crazy. If I were the Cavs I would do this trade in a heartbeat. You guys overrate Varejao. He is not a threat to score. As up and down as Odom is he can score plus he averaged 10.6 rebound per game last year. Varejao is a great Hustle guy but he is a liability on offense. There is no way the Lakers would make this trade though. They would probably laugh at this proposal.

And I guess if my only criteria is the ability to score I'd want Odom as well. I'm not saying he's a bad player but I think he 1) costs too much 2) is not worth Varejao, Wally and a 1st and 3) is not a good fit for what we need our bigs to do. So crazy or no I really don't want him.

How about Lamar can score, rebound and create. I thought Mike Brown was going to play Lebron more at the 4 or maybe I'm mistaken.
