how about Gerald Wallace?

Post#1 » by JDaWg1000 » Fri Nov 7, 2008 3:36 pm

accoridng to the wiretap headlines Gerald Wallace is liekly to be traded soon. do you guys think he could fit with the Cavs? if so what do you think we could give up. i myself would prefer J-Rich from the bobcats.

These numbers are hard not to want:

ppg. 19.5
rpg. 9.3
apg. 1.8
spg. 2.0
bpg. 1.0
fg%. 52%
3p%. 62%

If Wally for Crash and a filler gets it done then you do it immediately. Unfortunately I think they might get a better package of young talent from someone else, because I am not willing to give up Varejao to get him.

I've always liked Wallace and he could play 2 and the 4 but obviosly plays the 3 the best but we have the best playing 3 in the league so would we do a Mo,Crash,Lebron,Ben,Z lineup with Delonte being first off the bench for Ben or Z where Crash would then go to playing the 4. I can see Lebron resting with a lineup of Mo,Delonte,Crash,Ben, and Varajao.

Wally,Darnell Jackson, rights to Sasha Kahn, and 1st rd pick for Gerald Wallace and Sean May

This way they can make a big offer at Boozer(1st choice),Odom, or Marion to put oppposite Okafor. I think they may go for this but it is tooearly in the season to be thinking about losing so they may want more of an immediate impact, Jordan must think they are a playoff team. But pairing Wallace on the wing with Lebron would make the Cavs a rediculous team and gives them even more flexability in lineups for small and big lineups. I'd hate to see Wally go but we have a group of three point shooters and not enough slashers.

I like Wallace a lot however not for this team. Simply from the standpoint he's not a great outside shooter. Spacing is a huge concern with the Cavs because of their drive and kick style of play.

You only need to look at how much Philly is struggling with spacing to see how important it is. Delonte West starting is helping the Cavs in that regards bigtime.

Gerald Wallace is shooting pretty well from outside this year, but that's not his game. He's at his best getting at the rim, with LeBron doing that relentlessly all game already we don't need G.Wallace.

I would like to stick with this team for right now. I like this team a lot, maybe they aren't championship caliber but they are much closer. Chemistry is a huge issue and I'm just not sure Gerald Wallace would fit in offensively even with him being a very good player.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved
