Really tricky game. Nets are not a good team but we all know how we struggle against bad teams. And they have some really good players like Harris and Carter who can take advantage of that. We must be careful. We can't afford a loss here since we have an away game@Detroit after this.

I could see this as a loss. Devin Harris and VC are a bad matchup for our backcourt.

I think Delonte would do OK against Devin but defending VC will prob require more playing time from Pavs. We have to take advantage of our strengths in the frontcourt and not settle for outside J's.

Ehh I just don't like how we match up with the Nets on paper

A defensive wing player would be a lot nicer...

Great game to exploit Z on the youngsters up front for NJ. Of course, it's not a meaningful game at all, so Vince is probably going to put up something like 36/8/8 with a couple of poster-worthy moments. Let's say that cancels out Lebron; I really like the rest of the Cavs against the rest of the Nets.

Why is everyone so pessimistic including me??? LeBron can beat this team alone and if we care enough we'll blow this team out.

But I don't wanna screw my jinxing strategy. Forget what I said, We'll lose this game for sure....

Another team that has had the Cavs number recently, they were 3-1 against the Cavs last year. I still expect the Cavs will win this game. It seems the Cavs always end up in a running game with the Nets. I don't think the team was capable in the past of matching up that way. I agree with Icness, this is the game to feed Z the ball early and often. I like the rookie Lopez for NJ, but this is a mismatch in our favor. Vince and LeBron are going to get theirs no doubt. It all comes down to if Mo can somewhat cancel out Harris tonight. I watched them against the Hawks and Harris just killed them. He was the reason they beat Atlanta twice in a row. It will be a tough game, hopefully the bench shows up to play as they were awful against Utah.

NBA elite teams dont lose games like this. So what they have Harris and Vince? We have LeBron freaking James. Time to stop thinking like losers. No reason we shouldnt squash this team.

I like the confidence BMac, I think we're gonna win. Not sure it will be in the blowout fashion though, I wish. It is a road game afterall. It would be nice though with Detroit on deck of the b2b.

bcortell, check page 2 of the jazz thread for a link to watch. I don't want to get in trouble for dropping links in every game thread. Let's get ready for some basketball. Go Cavs!

I haven't seen LeBron this aggressive to start a game in a while. This has the makings of a 50 point night if he keeps that up.

Well nice to see we got the worst officiating crew in the NBA tonight with Violet Palmer and company. The Nets are getting ALL the calls. The passing is bad and its just compounding the problem.

The Cavs have way too many first quarter turnovers. What is that 7?

It was a terrible first quarter, yet only down 2. Credit to LeBron being very aggressive, 15 points in the first quarter. Gibson got 3 quick fouls becuase the refs are treating Devin Harris like he's some sort of star player. He's just throwing his arms up and getting the call. Z needs to get the ball more in the post. Nice to see Pavs getting some early PT.

No we're not underestimating the Nets, if anything they've been overated on our board.

Outside of LeBron, our team hasn't even shown up in this first half.

Well that was an uninspiring first half of basketball. We'll see if the other guys step up this second half.

There we go, Delonte and Mo getting hot from outside. Defensive rotations looking much better here in the third quarter. As long as the Cavs keep the turnovers in check, they'll win this game. Keep getting Z the ball, things are really happening with him even passing the ball.
