FWIW, Cleveland's franchise is currently worth an estimated $477 million. Gilbert bought the team for $375 million. I just thought this was interesting and probably shows why Gilbert will be willing to spend big money to improve our roster in hopes of keeping LeBron in town. Also remember that when Gilbert bought the Cavs, LeBron was already here. I just thought it was interesting that the franchise gained over $100 million in value since he has become the owner.

Of course it isn't what it is worth, but how much someone is willing to pay for it.
