His type of injury is normally heals in 2-4 weeks, no real timetable yet.

On the radio today, Ferry said that Z would not play on Friday, would probably not play on Saturday and we'll see about next Wednesday in Minnesota. He made it sound like the injury might not last 2-4 weeks, but we'll just have to see how quickly Z recovers.

Z is not one of those guys that'll sit for an extended time. He'll want to play even if he's still hurt. That's how he's been his entire career (remember him playing with the injured hand a few years ago). He's an ironman as long as it's not the feet.

I heard that too - that he's shooting for wednesday. I'd sit him until friday as we can win Wednesday's game without him.

Z needs to sit out until his ankle is 100%. I dont want him coming back too early off an ankle sprain like Deron Williams recently did. That would just make it worse.

This is a long 82 game season. The extra rest would benefit Big Z in the long run. We need him when it matters most (the playoffs). I dont care if we lose a couple of games in his absence or trying to have the best regular season record in the NBA. I care about trying to win a championship.

Actually, I don't think we can afford to lose alot of regular season games because we are trying to beat out the Celtics for the #1 seed.

Do you really want to have another game 7 in BOS? I don't, especially given how well we play at home.

IMO getting the #1 seed is pretty important.

I realize that home-court is important but I think that being 100% healthy and well rested for the start of the playoffs is even more important.

I just dont think it would be a good idea to bring hurt players back too early just to try and keep up with Bostons record.

Plus im confident the Cavs have a better chance of winning on the road against Boston than they did last post-season because the team improved in several different areas.

As much as I would like to get the number 1 seed, getting the number 2 would be great too. We have been grabbing the 4 seed for a few years. Now we will have the opportunity to have home series and hopefully close out the first two rounds as quick as possible. That being said, we are a better, more focused and deeper team. I think we will have to win a road game against Boston in the playoffs anyway. I guess the main point is that I would love the 1 seed as many have said before, but getting the big guy healthy for the playoffs is more important than securing an extra 2-3 wins during the season. Also, Ferry made it sound like Z could be back for Wednesdays game vs the Twolves. We shouldn't need him tonight, against the Hawks or Wednesday. Luckily, we only have three games from the time of his injury until we have Denver a week from today. We should go 3-0.

Wow. No faith? Remember, we are playing the crappy Sixers. I know we didn't play a good game in Philly, but that was their turf, and this is ours.
