I dont like it. His production is down and he is selfish. He wants to be the number option or nothing.

He sucks, i watch almost every heat game, and he cant create any shot for himself or others. He was a product of the Suns offense. His defense is overrated. His best skill is rebounding and we dont have rebounding problems in the cavs. Ferry knows better

No way, this had to be started by some Miami hack!

This isn't going to happen. Fegan trying to drum up interest in his client?

considering you have Mo Williams, and Delonte West, I could definite see Cavs wanting to go after Marion.
People said the same about Ben Wallace in the Bulls. The fact the Heat has no pointguards, unlike the Cavs that will speed up the tempo, this could definite by the championship move for the Cavs and making sure LeBron stays in Cleveland.
I as Heat fan don't even like that trade, because I feel if we are going to take in Wally, you better take in Mark Blount.

If the Cavs are after Marion, I doubt it's for the players mentioned in this story.

I don't like this deal. Ferry wouldn't make this trade unless he was 100% sure Varejao wasn't coming back in the offseason.

I agree with Benedict Boozer, I don't trade Andy unless we know he isn't coming back. If we were able to secure Joe Smith, then I would be willing to think about it.
I think this trade really thins out our bench. What happens if Z or Wallace gets hurt? We can't rely on JJ or Jawad yet. I would be willing to trade Wally plus snows contract, but not with the way Andy has played. I would also be willing to deal JJ too.

Also, I wouldn't mind dealing Sasha. We could do Wally and Sasha for Marion. We will have an about $19.5 million coming off of the books after this season. We could make a serious splash in the free agent market or use some of that to resign Andy and another player.

Only chance I do this is if Wally Sasha, and MAYBE our 09 first is the deal. No way I give up AV. He's way too important to our team right now.
However, I doubt Miami trades Marion without getting what they desperately need( a big) in return.
AV is too vital to give up for someone who may or may not be a good fit with our team.

Are you joking?
All three players are expiring, and Marion gives more than Wally and Sideshow. What the hell would Miami want those two for, when they could possibly land Lamar Odom for Marion straight up? Fegan leaked this rumor, not someone from the Heat.

As a Celtics fan I really think it would be terrible to trade Varejao for Marion straightup. The Cavs would go from have a 50/50 or better chance of beating the Celtics to about 70/30... Clevelands length in the front court is an essential piece to the puzzle, Lebron, Andy, Z... those guys are really big, strong, and talented. With Marion... much less imposing frontcourt and that doesn't even speak to losing Wally, who's a very good shooter, as well as Marion's character flaws/lack of a true position.

Gives more than Wally and Anderson? Really? Marion puts up 12.4/1.7/8.9
While Anderson puts up 9/1.2/6.6 and Wally puts up 6.8/.9/2.5. Oh, and Anderson is significantly more efficient. That adds up to 15.8/2.1/9.1. Seems like the stats actually exceed that of Marion.
By all means you guys should trade with LAL for Odom.

NOOOOOO. Marion is a nice player but he isn't a good fit on this team. He would be a nice 6th man coming off the bench but he won't agree to that role and I wouldn't want to trade Andy for him either.

Oh, I was trying to say, to those people that think Cavs wouldn't want to do this deal, like the kid ChiMoChi, or whatever his name, that said that Marion sucks. Some people said Ben Wallace was a product of Detroit, and when he sucked in Chicago and you guys acquired him I heard how Cavs got the raw end of the deal, but Ben has played well again this year under different circumstance, kind of like Marion not having his best year in Miami because we don't have pointguards that can actually pick up the tempo, but Cleveland has two pointguards that can actually speed up the game. Marion will probably thrive in this year with new look Cavs. He is very versatile defender, I actually think he would be a pretty descent fit for your team.
On Miami's end, I don't like taking in Wally, unless we can also unload a bad contract on the Cavs.
Am not that much a fan of unathletic average players like Wally.
If you want Marion, but you want to dump Wally on us, we should also figure a way to dump one of our contracts on you guys.

I don't get that, cause Wally is an ending contract. He would be off your books at the end of the year.

Shawn Marion's contract is ending too. Marion could be off our books too.
I think their has to be more to this trade, because it sure is not benifiting the Heat as it is now.

http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=4871551This trade allows us to get marion and brad miller.
Andy and wally to Miami
Sasha and Snow to Sac town
Cavs:
Don't lose any depth or scoring with trades if we get miller to replace andy. Get a vet with under rated passing and shooting skills.
Miami: Get expiring contract and a big who can opt out in case andy doesnt work out for them.
Sac town:
Kenny Natt is the interim coach and they are supposedly giving him a fair shot at the coaching spot. He served I believe 3 years as an assistant under brown and would like sasha to come since he is familiar with him and he can add to their SG and SF positions.
Snow- he is injured, thats for sure, but his contract is almost up and they could get the medical waiver. Also he could come and work as an assistant coach with some of their younger guards and maybe if Natt doesnt work out for them he could be up for the head coaching spot, something I know he is interested in.
They also would trade miller cause of his contract and to clear up space for Hawes n Thompson to develop in what seems to be a throw away year
