the perfect pippen to lebrons jordan

Post#1 » by Canomad » Fri Mar 6, 2009 4:46 am

i know this is never going to happen but we can all dream right? anyways im a huge brandon roy fan when im not rooting for the cavs. i have come to the conclusion in my mind atleast that brandon roy would be the PERFECT pippen to lebrons jordan. brandon roy can pass he rebounds well for the shooing guard position and hes just a fantastic player with no big gaping holes in his game. i would love to see them play together because i think brandon roy has no ego and lebron would welcome him with open arms. could you imagine? kind of a pipe dream but i was thinking if you could have one player to play robin to lebrons batman who would it be? not just like a missing piece like a solid player who could push us over the top, but a superstar who could coexist with lebron?

I've been watching Chauncey Billups and believe that he would be an unbelievable sidekick to Lebron (almost like an upgraded version of Mo Williams).

Granger seems more like a Pippen type with his understated all around game. He'd be a great sidekick.

Granger would be sick.

What's sad about that is the year we traded our pick (I think it was for Pavlovic) we could have drafted Granger. We had the #13 pick in that draft..

Yea that is how it is with Cleveland sports. We always screw up in the draft. Just look at the Browns.

Why do people always have to bring up the draft.. :(

2004- Luke Jackson over Andris Biedriņš, Al Jefferson, Jameer Nelson, Josh Smith, Kevin Martin
2005- Traded our pick instead of picking Granger
2006- Traded our pick in the Sasha trade instead of picking Rudy Fernandez

Mo/Boobie
Delonte/Rudy
Lebron/Wally
Granger/AV/JJ
Al Jefferson/Big Z

^^^You think the Cavs have had it bad, look at the Cleveland Browns since the comeback in '99. It's laughable at the poor draft selections made by the front office.

Lebron is not even a Jordan type of player like Kobe is. So stupid comparison.

I think Lebron would be better with a squad full of guys like Magic had because he makes everyone better.

Kevin Martin would be great as Lebron's Pippen. He's from Ohio also.

I only included players after the drafting of Lebron, since picking a different player before him could have screwed up that draft.

Yeah I know, but I kept it with the Cavs. There is no doubt the Browns have been equal, if not worse, in their drafting.

All teams make draft mistakes. I'm giving them a pass on everything that happened before Ferry showed up on the scene because Paxson was just a horrible GM. (Trading a pick for Jiri Welsch and picking Luke Jackson in the lottery  The only bust Ferry had was Shannon Brown but he was picked at the very end of the first round..Farmar or Sergio Rodriquez would've been better picks but honestly it's not like they passed on LeBron's Pippen.
