........................................................................................................................................................................Game Notes

The Cavaliers clinched its first Central Division Championship in 33 years with a victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. It is only the second division champ in franchise history.

After the all star break, the Cavs are 12-2 altogether and are 8-2 on the road. With a victory on Sunday night at home (where the Cavs are 28-1), Cleveland will be 3 games ahead of Boston for the 1st seed in the East.

The Cavs are done on the road against the West, they went 12-3. Also in three four-game road trips and this three-game trip this season, the Cavs went 12-3.

Over the past two seasons, the Cavs are 0-3 at home coming off a West Coast road trip with just one day off.

LeBron James' 51-point night in Sacramento on Friday marked the eighth time in his career that he has scored at least 50 points. None of the 50-point games have come in Cleveland. Two were in New York. The Cavaliers are 6-2 when LeBron scores at least 50 points.

The Cavs are now 22-4 when James reaches double figures for points, rebounds and assists, and are on an nine-game winning streak in those games. He had 34 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists in the victory over the Suns.

The Cavaliers guard missed Friday's game against the Kings with a bone bruise in his lower back, the result of a rather nasty fall Thursday in Phoenix when he was undercut on a drive to the basket by the Suns' Steve Nash. West was feeling better Friday and is hoping to play Sunday when the Cavs return home to play the New York Knicks.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas suffered a broken nose on Friday when Shaquille O'Neal elbowed him in the face, but he'll continue to play and not use a mask.
"I hate masks," Ilgauskas said. "Last time I had to wear one, I ended up throwing it into the stands."

LeBron James has a left knee bruise contusion after banging into the Suns' Grant Hill, but will play through it as well. O'Neal also gave him a shot to his right leg in the game.
"A lot of guys wouldn't be able to get up from those hits," James said. "I'm blessed to have the frame to be able to get up from those hits, but I've felt better."

........................................................................................................................................................................Let's go Cavs!

This is actually a scary game. It's the first game back from a west coast swing where we had to stage 4th quarter comebacks in each game. Not to mention we're playing a team that is uptempo and is really going to want to beat us.

And apparently, Leisure Suit Larry does a very great job defending LeBron. Oh not to mention, Al Harrington seems to always come up big against us..

Hughes is too skinny to guard anyone that'd be even remotely physical with him.

i cant stand larry hughesless. no sharrington does seem to shoot well against us. i agree this could be a trap game hte cavs need to start the game off with lockdown d and conintinue it throughout. we need a big game from z he has to be able to take advantage of his size against the knicks with 6'9 or 6'10 people defending him all night.

,,,,and lebron misses at the buzzer. knicks fan here...i think the knicks may be able to steal this game
1- 1st game back from westcoast for the cavs
2- knicks are the underdogs
3- if they start connecting the 3s...boy its havoc
4- knicks want to show lebron that they can play tough

1- that'd be another reason why cavs would stomp the knicks
2 - underdogs dont = win. sorry its the opposite
3- and if cavs start connecting on 3's especially lebron and defend the perimeter, o boy its havoc
4- they havnt showed **** last meetings and they can show whatever they want, because hes not going to NY.

good day.

also, Loss.

I have no idea why you think that this group of Knicks even cares whether LeBron joins the team in 2010. Fact is chances are none of them will even be there. That's how they are clearing cap space.

not saying the knicks WILL win tonight but with that attitude that you have, sitting behind a computer, feeling like a pimp..yo you would be eating your words and probably be a borderline suicidal if lebron ever ditches the cavs and akron life for money and living in the city..be it new york or anywhere else. so calm down and dont get too excited..at least wait till he signs that contract because anything is possible until then. and fudge lebron. the knicks can get two other superstars in 2010 and draft good (like they always do) and with the up tempo coach that they have, they are bound to do better next season and beyond. they are just learning this year...this is the baseline

Cavs have too much size. All their players are bigger and stronger.

David Lee at center?

Yeah, ok.

Whatever the outcome, I have a feeling this might not be the last time these two teams play this season..

Just got back from Charlotte about an hour ago. Thanks for filling in for me Exile. Boston slipped up I just saw on ESPN News. Chance to really put the foot down on HCA tonight. Go Cavs.

Nice to see Delonte back too after that nasty spill he had in Phoenix.

Great start and horrible finish of the first quarter. Delonte seems very hesitant with his shot. The defense is slow in the rotations too. Down 1 after the first quarter.

Nice way to end the first half. Just need to cut back on turnovers and play better defense. We are up by 7.
