would you give the MLE to Gortat?

Post#1 » by Canomad » Tue May 5, 2009 5:14 am

we need a replacement at center cuz z has a season or 2 left in him he could be perfect! i like his game and he always goes up against d12 in practice. when he has gotten mins he has produced. let z teach him a little more and he could be a steal! would you want the polish hammer to be a member of the cavs?

He would be a nice additional big that can play physical inside..

However, I would prefer to snag Kidd to sure up our backup PG spot for the next season or two..

For some reason I see Gortat going back over seas. Just a hunch.

The whole MLE would be too much. If we couldnt get kidd to be our back up PG, he would be one of my top choices though.

Yup give me Zaza. He is exactly what we need and I believe he is only 25.

I actually would give him the full MLE.

I would rather get better than younger. McDysee runs circles around all the players that are being mentioned. Offer him a two yr contract and he would be that physical presence that we sometimes lack. Once again you want to get better first and foremost. The cavs have a young nucleus just plug in the pieces that are missing. 14ppg 9.0reb started less than 1/2 the season don't get enamored by just youth also compare the talent

if he leaves us, then thats what i would prefer. he's great. given the minutes he plays, he is one of the best rebounders in the league, especially on the offensive end. hopefully we keep him. good luck the rest of the series against ATL, not that you will need it

Gortat wanted for years to come over to the NBA before the Magic brought him over. He played on our summer league team a couple times and was sent back over. Because of his desire to play in the NBA and the fact that he will have plenty of suitors, I see little chance he ends up back overseas.

Someone in Europe is guaranteed to throw a lot of money his way though. Also, I'm not sure that he's really embraced the American celebrity lifestyle. He's spent almost no money since he joined the NBA. Dwight Howard gave him suits because he wouldn't buy his own.

I don't really see what people see in Gortat. Somebody enlighten me. (As of right now, I like Zaza if we could land him.)

Gortat is one of if not the best defensive back up center in the league right now. He will instantly make any team a better rebounding and defensive team.
