How often do the Cavs play the "2man game"
I know they (cleveland) play similar to the Spurs( the only really big difference is the personell) however since I dont get to see all 82 Cleveland games during the reg season I was wondering how often they go in the Pinch post and who is usually involved and is it something they use frequently?

every play is watch Lebron and react
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I wouldn't go that far. While LeBron is the lynchpin because he creates the mismatches the Cavs primarily just run pick and rolls utilizing all different player and coming from various angles. Not really a 2 man game though since LeBron might pass the ball to anyone if they are open.

It is used very often I would say. If pick and rolls are used 40-50% of the time and isolations are used 15-20% of the time, I would say it is used 30% of the time.
Usually the post player is a good passer (usually Lebron or Z, I have seen them try Pavs and yesterday I saw them use Wally for the first time)
They put a 3pt shooter at the 3pt elbows(Mo,Delonte,Boobie, sometimes Wally). The man in the far elbow usually gets the back screen from the opposite post player(AV,Ben,Z) and thats why Cavs take so many open threes from that opposite corner from the post.
If the man who defended the entry pass doubles the person who gave the entry pass(Usually Mo) gets an open three,
If the double comes from cross court usually the player doesnt need the back screen and has an open three from the elbow.
Having the shooters makes players have to stay honest but now we have seen that Lebron has that hook shot if nobody doubles or he goes to the middle of the paint for that jumper.

Funny coming from a magic fan. After watching the last 8 magic games, im not even sure they have an offense. I pretty much just see them chucking threes at all times and occasionally throwing it in to Dwight Howard and getting out of the way.
Cavs play the two man game a lot with a lot of different players. Almost every play starts with a pick and the option of the two man game, but then this year, the coaching staff has incorporated a lot more movement off the ball, utilizing Ilaguskas' shooting ability and AV's ability to move without the ball and obviously Lebron's ability to make plays when he gets the ball in a good position (posting up or coming off curls).
Sometimes they'll also run isolation plays in the post for Z or Delonte when they have mismatches they can work. And obviously, they still let Lebron do his thing still sometimes.
