Looks like we now know what King James will be doing in the offseason.

Should be another great game between two elite teams. Hopefully LeBron doesn't go postal and drop 60 points, though. Knowing him (and the circumstances his team faces if they lose), he'll come out relentlessly on a mission to will his team to victory. I can already envision him with that 'never say die' attitude draining jumper after jumper.

The official countdown begins...less than 24 hours to go!

All I get to say is with Mo opening his big mouth and saying the Magic aren't a problem and we'll beat them, he better step up his game.

No need to watch the game tomorrow, boys. I've already found the prewritten AP report from tomorrow night:

Orlando's improbable march towards the NBA Finals continued on Tuesday as they went up 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals on the heels of a stunning display at Amway Arena. The Magic built a lead just before the opening tip-off when the Cavaliers were called for 10 straight illegal defense violations as they boarded their team bus at their hotel.

The Cavs, still scoreless, saw their deficit reach 40 points early in the second quarter after Zydrunas Ilgauskus was given a technical foul for coughing on the Cleveland bench. Dwight Howard's resultant free throw was slightly off-target, but even if Anderson Varejao was not being pinned to the floor by Marcin Gortat, he would not have rebounded it. Since Orlando has been continuously getting hosed by the referees throughout the playoffs, this kind of result was no more than the Magic deserved.

The Cavs ran into more trouble four minutes before halftime when Mo Williams was ejected for enquiring about why referee Joey Crawford was wearing a Dwight Howard Superman cape. However, the Cavs were able to strike back with their first field goal of the night after an amazing piece of good fortune. As Wally Szczerbiak's two-point jump shot was only partially blocked by Crawford's assistant, LeBron James grabbed the rebound and thumped the ball through the net. Confusion reigned for 10 minutes as the entire Magic squad surrounded the referee, arguing that the referee's assistant had been fouled just two minutes earlier. Crawford grudgingly had to grant the field goal even though he racked his brain for a reason to disallow it.

Stan Van Gundy, furious, had Hedo Turkoglu take a rest on the bench and replaced him with three other players. Fortunately, things settled down again as Rashard Lewis began a new Magic run by taking a half-court shot, which sailed over the backboard, but had clearly gone through the rim first.

Just as the second half got underway, un-sportsmanlike Delonte West was given a flagrant two and ejected for making ridiculous claims for a foul after Rafer Alston had accidentally beaten up Sasha Pavlovic. The referee and his assistant missed the incident as they were both asking Dwight Howard for his autograph, but replays showed that Alston's flying kung-fu kick, followed by a forearm smash was clearly unintentional.

The Magic then sealed the game from the free throw line early in the fourth quarter. Mike Brown was called for traveling, and Rashard Lewis stepped up and calmly sank Orlando's 453rd attempt from the line for the game. Lewis had actually clanked the ball off the iron and over the backboard, but Crawford deciced the free throw was good because, based on past records, Lewis rarely missed.

The Magic, incredibly still alive in the playoffs despite continuously being on the short end of the stick from the crooked officiating, kept the pressure on until the bitter end. Wally Szczerbiak was called for a dirty touch foul for blatantly glancing at Hedo Turkoglu. The Turk inbounded the ball right into the referee's path, and Crawford made no mistake, catching the alley-oop and throwing it down into Cleveland's goal while he let out a loud, primal scream. Final score: Orlando 1,045, Cleveland -7.

One can only hope the Cavs won't continue to employ their cheap and dirty tactics in Game 5. Stan Van Gundy, in between inhaling scoopfuls of Crisco at his postgame press conference, has assured David Stern that he'll personally handle the officiating for the rest of the round.

lol Jdeuce, i don't think a cav player has been called for a tech all season. If you think the refs are against you guys a) you're crazy and b) your team should stop sending dwight to the line every time he touches the ball. That explains the FT discrepancy last game.

BTW our star player played all of 27 mins. last game. IF there is any bias or unfairness, rest assured, it doesn't look upon your team with unfavorable eyes.

Nice GT Gordon Bombay (Your s/n makes me laugh everytime) I hope it is a good... FAIR game unlike that bullcrap last night... what was it like 8 techs in the 4th quarter in LA DEN??? omg.

I can't believe how so many people think this series is over :nonono:

At some point the Cavs are bound to hit a few of the wide open shots they've been missing. Okay, maybe not Boobie, but West and Mo have both been missing most of their uncontested or lightly contested long-range jumpers all series.

IMO the Cavs really need to take the ball out of Lebron's hand more, let him work off the ball and let West and Mo get into a rhythm. Orlando's D is so focused on Lebron that if you run the offense thru someone else, they get confused and the baseline is completely unguarded. That was the start of Game 2 in a nutshell.

Gotta keep attacking and stay aggressive on offense. ORL has done a very good job of playing the high screen plays and that isn't going to change, so move the ball more to the side and run more back cuts and side picks. Take a cue from the Magic, who do that very well to get Hedo free right where he likes the ball out at the 3pt line on the high right side. The Cavs have done almost no off-ball screening this entire series after tearing ATL apart with those plays. Joe Smith has done some but he's only getting limited minutes.

IMO Brown needs to shelve Ben Wallace the rest of the series except to foul Howard. Our D hasn't been great but it's not been the defense that has cost the Cavs two games, it's been the offensive inefficiency and lack of flow. And it's not like Ben has been pounding the glass or playing great D anyways--look back to Game 1 when Lewis got hot, it was Ben trying to guard him.

I expect the cavs to make a more concerted effort to control the glass and play better off-the-ball defense in this one. No reason to sag in when anyone drives because we all know the Magic are looking to kick it outside for the 3. If Lee, Alston, and Lewis can beat us hitting 13' runners, so be it. And for the love of God Lebron stop leaving Pietrus on D!!!

Win this one and the series is right back where we want it. We cant let our game be affected by the refs. We need to realize that calls our going to once again be in their favor and get over it. Its time for the rest of the guys to step up... Heck if even one of Z, Mo, or Delonte have a good game it should be enough for LeBron to pull out the W.

Made it home last night after being on the river since Friday afternoon. I have not watched anything other than a few highlights from games 2 and 3 so I may be a little off on some things. Regardless, here's what I see from all the box scores and the only game I did get to see of this series. The Cavs have blown 2 huge leads and should be up 2-1 instead of down 1-2. Credit to Orlando, they put up a great fight to get back in those games(with a chance to steal both instead of only one). I'm not sure why anyone is acting like this series is a for sure for either team, the first two games were 1 point wins. Orlando took it to the Cavs in the second half of game 3. Other than really one half of basketball, it's an even fight. So can anyone point out why many are acting like Orlando has this series in the bag?

Obviously tonight is a must win for Cleveland. I can't see the Cavs winning this series if they go down 1-3. I'm disappointed in Mo Williams in every way going into this game. Not only has he failed to play well, he's talking like a moron to the media. I have yet to see the elbow he received from Anthony Johnson, but some of our players seem to think it was a dirty play. I have seen the picture of his bloody face though and it looks like he got a pretty vicious shot.

I'm going into this game optimistic that our team will bounce back and tie this series up tonight. Lets Go Cavs!

Wow! It was Crisco in that tub on the table next to the water. I wasn't sure because the label was covered.

Ya know, I love Mo, and his confidence is very important, AND I know he's reletively new to this whole CTown sports scene, but so MANY gaurantees? Really? I watch every big game somewhat expecting the worst, but higher than high when we win. The gaurantees just push the needle deeper.

Hey, we haven't played CAVALIERS basketball yet, and stil had two close losses. There is reason to BELIEVE, everyone!!! GO CAVS!!!

I'm just sad I won't be able to watch the game after the 1st quarter. The wonderful voice of Joe Tait gets to paint the game for me. Hopefully I won't want to steer into a ravine or something...

Also can we get the title of this thread edited? I get the point GB, the thread was funny and it showed the frustrations of the past couple games. But it's time to forget that and move forward to hopefully another Cavs win.

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
