False, the Cavs have plenty of talent, but they need a powerful post presence. Mo Williams and Lebron are all-stars, and the Cavs have decent role players, but they need to get that ever so important post scorer.

Mike Brown coached the worst playoff series I've ever seen.

He was definitely outcoached. Not much we can expect there.

Exactly. Coaching overcomes what teams lack on the floor, and the Cavs never overcame anything in this series except iffy refereeing.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: Coaching the difference
I'm not sure if even the best coach could overcome the difference in the front court. Just like Phil won't be able to contain Dwight unless Andrew Bynum decides to show up and earn his absurd 14 mil dollar a year contract.
The cavs were definitely outcoached, but you can only coach up players so much, some times you just need better personal. But with JJ Hickson having another year on the team, and probably challenging for the starting PF role, plus all the trade chips Cleveland can use (Ben Wallace's contract) I think you will see a significantly improved Cleveland team after this summer.

Re: Coaching the difference
Phil can control Dwight - all he needs to do is complain about the referees & Dwight will have so many phantom fouls called on him that it'll be pathetic.
Phil can work the media & the refs. It'll be real tough for the magic

Mo Williams and Lebron are all-stars
Mo is not an AllStar.
He was given the spot. He isn't an AllStar.

+1
I have to agree with this. Mo Williams was ineffective for 4 or 5 games this series.
As far as Brown goes I think he was outcoached in game 6, but for the life of me I can't see what the Coach can do to stop the inside out game and the Magic hitting those threes.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Brown did not place the Cavs in a good position defensively against the Magic. That Big Z or Varejao played PF was laughable. Even an ok NBA three point shooter will hit when they are left wide open. A smaller lineup would have been more effective for the Cavs. I'm not saying that the Magic would not have hit threes, but Brown decided to leave a team full of good three point shooters completely uncontested. By the time that Mike Brown began making adjustments the Cavs were already on the brink of elimination. What exactly has Mike Brown done to improve the Cavs?

Sorry about the loss guys. I have thought that Brown was overrated. Honestly, you guys have lebron which would make just about any coach look like a genius.

Re: Coaching the difference
Mike Brown is a bad coach. My question is why didnt Joe Smith get more time? I am thinking he may have defended the post better against Dwight.

Re: Coaching the difference
I concur.
Mike brown doesn't even coach. Saying give lebron the ball is not coaching. You either let the shooters kill you or d12 kill you, not both. I don't care what you say, but a 21-23 foot jump shot is a lower percentage shot than a dunk. I'd make the shooters beat you. When howard scores fewer points, you have a better chance of winning. Also, they should have used more fouls on him (due to his poor FT shooting).
They were the better team so it's fitting they go on. Get some help in the frontcourt and the cavs will be fine.

The coaching was poor. Hedo, Lewis and Peitrus are just 3 point shooters. Single cover Howard. Let him drop 50 . And stay at home on shooters.
There were no adjusments. Giving up 2 2 2, 1 sometimes when you keep fouling him is better then momentum 3 point shots

Re: Coaching the difference
LeBron shoulda been playing PF the majority of the series. Wally was useless, Pavlovic woulda done more, Delonte West being second option most of game 6 didnt help, though I like his game. LeBron just flat out disappeared in game 6, I was expecting him to control the game for the entire last quarter, yet he barely touches the ball.
He'll learn from that, Big Z only shooting 20 foot jumpers most the game was disappointing too.
Mike Brown had enough tools to work with to keep that game close, but he didnt get them going in the right direction.

Of the coaches in these conference finals, Brown was the only one that wasn't wired. Why was that? Against team policy or something?

I don't recall once getting any "wired" comments from Brown from the bench or locker room as I got from Van Gundy, Jackson and Karl.

Mo Williams is a bum when are you Cavs fans going to realize this. Half of you probably didn't even know Mo Williams tell he got to Cleveland. Williams is not an All Star, if he was that good he would of been an all star playing for the Bucks. I'll agree Mike Brown is a moron. But it came down at the end that the Cavs are not talented at all. There's not 1 guy on that team besides LeBron that i would want on my team.
