Imagine LeBrons Athleticism and Kobes Skill Set

Post#1 » by Mamba Venom » Sun May 31, 2009 5:59 pm

Can you imagine a player w/ LeBron's Athleticism and Kobe's Skill Set

Someone like that would be an absolute monster of monsters

There would be no stopping them. A mixture of the killer instinct of Kobe, the joy of LeBron and the leadership of both men would be crazy.

Will it ever happen? How good would that player be?
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

No reason to turn LeBron into a chucker. His skill set is more effective that Kobe's.

This could get ugly, but I'll leave it alone as long as it stays on topic

there was a player like that. when kobe bryant was young, he was really athletic( maybe not as much as lebrons) but so far he has been the closest person.

hey, finaly a thread that isnt instantly locked. thats a shocker

lebron doesnt need any more skills, he needs more help than mo williams, the first player to get in the all star game by their team mate complaing.

i kinda feel bad for cavs fans that had to deal with management that will pay ben wallace $15 mil a year, but wont get lebron any real help.

I disagree.

There are a number of skills that Lebron still needs to improve IMO, here are the main ones:

1. His perimeter shooting

2. His free throw shooting

3. Moving without the ball (compare and contrast what he does with Kobe, I don't care who you think the better player is but Lebron rarely if ever works for position around the basket like Bryant does, he's too reliant on his athleticism in this regard...)

4. Along the same lines developing a post-up game would greatly benefit whatever team Lebron is playing on (when he swings the ball out from the low-post there will be better spacing for his shooters).

ya, its good enough, but he needs to make the clutch free throws. i think if he had a better pg his moving without the ball would improve. think about if billips or nash was running the point with lebron getting set up. I think lebron has a streaky 3, but he can go off jr smith style if hes got. personally, i dont think lebron should post up that much since he is pretty much unstoppable going 1-4. if he had one other big time player and a coach upgrade the cavs could with 4 or 5 in a row

You have absolutely nothing to back up either of those claims. What an awful post for someone with almost 9,000 of them.
