Troy Murphy or Diaw?

It seems like a lot of Cavs fans want a PF that can shoot from the outside.

Murphy .450% 3pt
Diaw .414% 3pt

Top 3 PF eFG%
Murphy .580
Gasol .567
Diaw .549

If Indiana and/or Charlotte struggle this season, maybe Murphy or Diaw will be available at the deadline.

Maybe they would take Z's expiring contract.

Diaw is a nice player, but I don´t think he´d fit in Cavs´system,he needs to have the ball, because he is like a "Point Forward",he delivers balls from the post.Besides,Brown considers him a vital part of the team,as well as every single Bobcat fan,no way we trade him for Z.

I agree, not sure Diaw fits this system.

I think you go with Murphy (of the two players listed) but what is it going to take to get him?

I prefer one of these three, in this order..

1.) Charlie Villanueva
2.) Antonio McDyess
3.) Rasheed Wallace

We passed up on the long term option at center (Chandler) to keep our cap space, and now you think we're going to get rid of that for Diaw or Murphy? Doesn't make sense to me.

Do you guys really want to commit $32.5 million to 2 players who play the same position?

Z has a player's option for 09-10 for $11.5 million. He'll exercise the option because he's looking after himself and it's the smart thing to do.

If Cleveland promises not to trade him, should he opt out and sign for 2 years, $13.5 million - $6.5 million for 09-10 and $7 million for 10-11?

The Cavs have paid him $112,530,468 over 13 seasons.
$110,046,468 over the last 10 seasons alone.

I see you don't know too much about the Cavs. 1. Z isn't opting out. 2. If he comes back after 2010, it'll be for near vet min money, so you can get rid of the whole 7 mil crap. 3. Z and Shaq both could use limited minutes, so having both is a luxury for us- one that we're able to afford.

Once again, we'll just pick someone up with the MLE and keep Z.
