Tyson Chandler

Post#1 » by Cleveland Fan » Sat Jul 4, 2009 12:31 pm

Just a thought but what about trying to do a sign & trade for Chandler? Put him at PF, use our MLE to get Sheed or McDyess. Would Andy be enough to get him in a S & T ? Maybe use Wally somehow. Then we need a deffensive wing player & we would be looking pretty good.

PG - Mo
SG - Delonte
SF - LBJ
PF - Tyson
C - Shaq

Bench - Z, Sheed ( ? ), JJ, Jackson, Boobie, Deffensive wing, Green, Offensive big guard.

If you put in deffensive wing for Mo this would be best deffensive 5 in NBA. I know the money might not let this work out but I think it would be a great way to go.

Chandler at this stage in his career is a pure center. He can no longer play PF.

salary is the main reason.

People are right though, he cant play PF anymore, and with Shaq he's just redundent.

More than that he makes too much to take on in 2010. We're still preserving an ability to sign a max guy (read as Bosh) in addition to LeBron next off season. If we sign a MLE and let Andy walk (or give him a 1 year deal) that still works. Much more than that and we'll be out of the running.
