I'd bring him back. There isn't much left in FA that's any better.

Agreed. I hope we don't lose him to Atlanta.

how weird...that happened in my association during the off-season when i traded for shaq...i really hope it doesnt happen either cuz Joe was really loyal to the Cavs and he gave them alot in terms of experience and chemistry that and he even made a playoff song for us:

I think that the idea was always in the Cavs mind to bring him back. They really didn't want to trade him last year and then they brought him back once they had the opportunity. he's a great locker room guy and with all that age on the Cavs front line they need as many big guys as humanly possible.

I like Powe and Warrick ahead of Smith at this point in his career. If all else fails signing Ike Diogu may not be a bad idea.

I'm on the Diogu bandwagon. He's only 25 years old and is very good when he plays over 20 miuntes a game.

I wouldn't mind Diogu. In April, 7 games he got 18mpg and put up 12/5 on 61%fg.

He had a couple games where when he got over 40 mins and he put up 32/11 and 28/13. He has potential no doubt. Low risk high reward if we can get him for the BAE or less.

Diogu was hitting jumpers with the Kings too.

Wish Cleveland would have got him instead of Moon or Parker.

Diogu is undersized, the Cavs were looking for length. I doubt he was a real player of interest.

Diogu played a lot of center with the Kings. He was the starting center in the final game.

In the last 2 games, he averaged 40 minutes per game and spent most of the time going against Nene and Kevin Love and had his 2 best games.

He's 6'8" and not particularly athletic. Sure he may have played the 5 for the Kings, they had nothing to play for. But it's not as though the Cavs need a player that is going to play in the paint if they are playing the 4. The Cavs ideally would like s player who has length, can hit the jumper, rebound and play defense. That description is absolutely not Ike Diogu.

If we are taking a chance on Moon and hoping he may improve why not Diogu. Somtimes championship teams simply get lucky bringing in a guy that turns it around. Trevor Ariza and Shannon Brown come to mind from last years Laker championship team. Big Baby really turned it on when he got the opportunity in the post-season.

Joe is a class act and I loved having him when we did, but I don't see why anyone wants him back now.

There aren't many minutes to go around, and even less basketballs. The best parts of his game are not without the basketball.

He was on the team when our defense was exposed and is more part of the problem than part of the solution.
In addition whatever minutes he would play would just take minutes away from the development of JJ and Darnell.

For the known quantity that Joe adds.. I'll take a pass.

I doubt he could be effective with inconsistent limited minutes as he didn't seem as well this past season as the year before. Part of that could be age too.
Wish him luck though. I've heard there are a few teams after him.

I think we'd be better off with a Rob Kurz (sp?) who could bring something unique to the position for us.
