Only if we? Then I would like to see/Novak

I'm surprised that their hasn't been any chatter about Steve Novak. He's 6-10 230 and a career 41.8 % beyond the arc. Talking about spacing the floor he would definitely create some serious match-up problems. I can recall several games, where he came off the bench with a barrage of tre's {I think he hit like 5 in a row against us}
However this should be contingent on, us securing Powes services{first and foremost} . I can envision Parker, setting up in one corner and Novak in the other. Which would allow LBJ to either part the lane like the red sea, with a un-contested flush, or better yet Shaq-Zilla one on one with an unexpected pray. Either way ADVANTAGE CAVS

Novak is one of the best shooters in the NBA but his defense is questionable.
You can put him in the game when he can guard bad offensive players.
Bonner is just as good a shooter as Novak but is probably a better defender so Bonner is probably a better option if available.

Looks like the Cavs are planning on signing a quick defensive guard and another front court player before the season starts . The front court position might drag on through training camp if Powe & Smith both turn down Ferry's offers. If that's the case, Novak, Bonner or Kurz might end up competing for the spot. The search for a quick defensive guard to replace Kinsey is very likely to drag on through preseason.
As for Novak's defense, I don't think there is any question about it. I think it's well known to be plain abysmal. Weak torso with slow feet is a bad combination in the NBA.

I think Novak might actually have the 2nd highest eFG% in NBA history (minimum 500 fga) behind Artis Gilmore.
Gilmore .599
Novak .595
Maybe he can improve his defense from good defensive coaching, being a part of a good defensive team, and just through experience playing in the NBA.

If you look at "opp production" at 82games.com, then you will see that Novak's 19.1 is not the worst.
Some players with worse "opp production":
Al Jefferson
Jeff Foster
Okur
Villanueva
Love
Rasheed
Noah
David Lee

We wouldn't put him up against a Rashard Lewis type player. But honestly how many teams have a 4, that can beat you off the dribble. Not saying that this is a must due deal, but if your entertaining thoughts about Kurz, I think Novak would be a better option hands down
