Would anyone be opposed to the Cavs trying to bring the brother of Orlando's Pietrus. It sounds like a good move to fill out the Cavs roster. I've seen videos of him playing and he brings similar attributes as his brother.

Well, it took his brother a few years to find his niche in the NBA, and Florent is 28 right now. When will he learn the American game? When he is 34? His stats are not very overwhelming, either. Not sure where he would fit on our team, or even if we'd have the money to sign or even negotiate a buyout if needed. And why spend on a foreign player who wont crack the rotation when Eyenga is already a project? Props for thinking outside the box, but I dont think its a fit.

Well, we don't F Pietrus, what we need is an athletic PF/C who can back up Shaq and Z and
a PG behind Mo.

Don't you mean behind Delonte West. In any case, I agree. I just don't have much faith left in Boobie Gibson. He just has not progressed as he should at this point. I think Anthony Carter and Bobby Jackson are available. They would be nice pickups for the Cavs in terms of a veteran presence.

At center, I am hoping Tony Battie eventually is released. He is the perfect backup center for a playoff team. He is a solid defender and can knock down the outside shot.

As for Pietrus, I wouldn't let age dissuade the possibility that he may be a good signing. A lot of these European guys are older when they sign. If he is even a poor mans Pietrus he would be a nice addition. His brother is such a ball hawk. I didn't see anybody defend Lebron as well as Pietrus did.

Bron put up like...38-8-8 on Pietrus..

How in the world can that be considered good?

Kinda OT, but I just wanted to pop in and say Mickael Pietrus has become crazily overrated, and a "poor mans Pietrus" has no place on this team. Mickael is still an average player, and if his brother isn't anywhere as good as him then we're better off exploring other options or just keeping the team as-is.

edit: and I don't think you should give up on Boobie yet. At least give him this year because with the acquisition of Shaq, Boobie should have plenty of opportunities to redeem himself and become a solid contributor again.

yeah Boobie is better than Damon Jones the Shaq year in Miami. He should be hitting open threes in no time because if he doesnt, he is in Pavs shoes this year.

Not the same kind of player. He is an undersized (6'6'"1/2-6'7") PF. Excellent in the European game. Would hardly make the transition at his age to the NBA.
