Do you guys want Michael Redd? Apparently he is going to YOU:
26. Bucks: The Bucks have enough marginally talented pieces to remain bad enough to remain in the lottery to collect an additional potential starter or two until Brandon Jennings develops. John Hammond should strong consider conducting an MLB-style fire sale in January and February of 2010,
beginning with Michael Redd to the Cavs.http://www.realgm.com/src_feature_piece ... r_windows/the cavs arent my favorite team, but they are in my top 3.
michael redd would give you guys the championship. PERIOD.

how so? you should have won it last year, and to get a 20ppg scorer who almost never misses? cmon, you know he would make you guys better-
66 wins last year, plus shaq and redd minus two suckers (wallace and pavs) and illgauskas!(
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... eId=ovc9nc)
seriously, how does that not add up?

I might be the only one who wants this guy. Z for Redd then Z back with the buy out

Only if he looks good and helthy and wouldnt mind taking a reserve role and can play defense a lil bit better then Wally. But know that he is going to be on Mo's level. This will be a balanced attack with many times seeing a lineup of Mo-Delonte-Redd-Lebron- Shaq. Wow. Defenders have to stay with shooters and let Lebron drive if post player doubles Shaq gets easy points.

except we would need to add an additional contract of about three million dollars or so to match up with redds 17 million dollar price tag.
i dont like redds defense or his injury history but if we can him for z and boobie with z coming back, i dont see why we wouldnt at least give it a look...his presence on the team, however, would not guarantee a championship because of all the question marks that he would bring

I'm not against Redd but I really don't want to see a Redd/Mo starting backcourt. Redd would be a very nice albeit expensive 6th man. I wouldn't give up anything more than Z and Boobie at the deadline. Actually I have a feeling Boobie is going to have a huge season hitting 3's off the bench w/ Shaq on the team.

Sure I'd take Redd for nothing. I'm not sure how he'd fit in and I don't really like the idea of Mo and Redd as the starting backcourt. I truly have no idea why Milwaukee would do this (although they appear to be in severe cost cutting mode)

Makes no sense whatsoever.. Redd is a better player than Parker, but they would be asked to do the same thing here... Redd would be relegated as a spot up shooter mostly... Parker does this at a fraction of the price..
Whatever, I don't care so long we win the championship... Bring Redd on...

Well it is Milwaukee we are talking about here. But I have to be honest here that while I love the Shaq addition I think we need one more piece to solidify our run to the title. Defense was not the reason we lost to Orlando last year. LeBron averaged what, 35ppg? We need another reliable scorer.
While I would rather have David West or Jamison, I think Redd might be the only big name available at the deadline.

MIL won't do it. Last year they had a chance to dump RJ for Wally and put themselves in a much better financial position with their FA's (Charlie V/Sessions).
But their GM was quoted as saying it would make him "sick to his stomach" trading RJ to us after the Mo deal. So he held onto him and had to firesale this summer as a result and lose young talent for nothing...
MIL GM won't deal with us anymore after the Mo raping.

some inside information here, I was at physical therapy here in columbus today and Michael Redd was there working out with a physical therapist as well and he looked pretty good. He ran for a good 15 minutes at a pretty good speed and he was doing some pretty good weight training with his legs and he did not appear to be struggling. Also, after the treadmill his heart rate after doing a pretty rigorous workout was only about 130, which means hes still in pretty good shape for coming off an acl surgery. Just thought I would throw that out there, I still dont think he works on the cavs with the current players we have and the players we would need to move to get him.

No, there is no way that Michael Redd is coming to Cleveland.
However... I could see a deal where they ended up with Redd, and traded-off West.
Here's one example I came up with:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=l4mjn6In this trade the Hornets get rid of Mo Peterson and James Posey...sending them to Charlotte, where Larry Brown will get to dump Wallace (on the Cavs) and save money & get a defensive stopper all in one move. The Hornets lose West, but pick-up the back-up point guard they have been looking for, and someone besides Peja who can make a 3-ptr... in addition, they get Redd and a 2nd round pick from Charlotte (Who gets a 1st from the Cavs). Milwaukee gets Delonte West and Ilgauskas. Zydrunas is bought out, and re-signed with the Cavaliers. Delonte is the perfect type of player for coach Scott Skiles' type of team.
This was just something I did real quick... I didn't put tons of thought into it, so if you don't think it could happen...that's cool. It's just an example. We've seen crazier trades happen.... like Pau Gasol for nothing.

That's what I'm saying. If you could move Z/Gibson for Redd, with Z coming back, we would have the most depth in the league by far.
Mo/West
Redd/Parker
LBJ/Moon
AV/Hickson/Jackson/Powe
Shaq/Z
4 out of 5 of our reserves were starters last season.

Please take Redd. Please.... You can have him. How about some second round picks? Well take 2019 and 2020 second round picks for him. Well even pay 1/10 of his salary.
