Shaq is in shape

Shaq put on a golf tournament in Springfield, LA last week. I have a friend that played in the tournament, and he met Shaq and took a picture with him. He said he couldn't believe how skinny Shaq is. Hilary is a sports announcer and has followed Shaq's career for years, and he said he looks to be in great shape. When he sends me the pic, I'll post it here. I hope he stays healthy, and gets a ring for the King!!!

I hope your friend is right. Shaq didn't look that good to me losing all the challenges on his tv show.

Well $$ talks. Shaq is in the last year of his deal, if nothing else that should motivate him. He still has time to work on his conditioning some more so let's hope he shows up to camp ready to play...

Did you see when he took his shirt off vs. Phelps? He looks to be in good physical shape. I think, judging by last year, he should be productive if he can stay healthy.

I thought he looked to be in good shape. Shaq is never going to be your hardbody type, but he looked to be in good shape for the offseason.

I swear Shaq trying to swing that bat when he did the Shaq vs. with Pujols was perhaps the most awkward looking thing I've ever seen.
He also looked old when he was playin Volleyball with May and Walsh.
We'll just have to see. Training camp is just around the corner!

Muscle memory is a powerful thing. That's why so many seemingly athletic people cant seem to throw a baseball anywhere near over a plate when they are throwing out first pitches. If you don't work on various sports no matter how athletic you might be, you are going to be very awkward in trying to get it done.

Why isn't he working out in Cleveland with his new team-mates like he should be doing?
Does anyone know whether he will start working-out with the team before training camp in two weeks?

The rumor is he is coming to town on Tuesday to start pick up his training regime here. Many of the guys are already here working out, which is a good sign, but Shaq is still coming in well before training camp starts.
As for his baseball swing..... LOL How terrible.

He does have 6 kids. He may be close to home working out. I know he does faithfully train in MMA and Yoga to keep his flexibility. But yeah, his swing sucked! I'm 6'00 and about 197, and I can hit a ball about twice as far as him, and he is 325!!

Well, he was supposed to show up on Tuesday and he didn't.
I've been really disappointed in his lack of commitment to the team this summer.
He should have been working out with the team this summer instead of doing a reality show and only reporting a few days before training camp.

Well, another day goes by and he still doesn't show up.
I don't think LeBron can be too happy about this.
If Shaq's attitude angers LeBron, he won't last very long with the Cavaliers and will probably be traded by the trade deadline.
He should be on his best behavior and report right now (or should have already) and start working on his game and with his new team-mates.
This is REALLY disappointing.

I know it doesn't start until the 28th, but he at-least should have been working out with the team sooner than when it begins.
He has not worked out ONCE with the team since he was traded.
Instead, he was doing that boring reality show of his.
