Article on Big Z from the Houston Chronicle

Thought that you guys might be interested in reading this. Obviously you know Big Z's story better than anyone, but you can understand why we're so interested in his NBA journey down here in Houston.

A brief snippet from the article

“It's tough being injured. When the same injury occurs time after time, it's draining. It's tough physically. It's tough mentally. It's tough on your family. You can't be with your teammates. It can deflate you. … I got Yao's number and told him I wanted to offer encouragement and some advice.”

FSN which televised the game also had a halftime interview with Z about his recovery from surgery (as well as an interview with Boobie Gibson's parents during the game). Z sounds like a standup guy and the type of player that you can't help but cheer for. Some would have given up and shut it down, but not this guy. Major respect for Zydrunas Ilgauskas from this Rockets fan.

Z's a classy guy. Greg Oden looks like another candidate for the made of glass big man support group.

Yeah, props to Z. Respect all he's been through and done for the Cavaliers..

I still trade him if it gives the Cavs a better chance at winning a title this season and next.
