Yeah I realize that but that's pretty much a cop out IMO. When the Cavs are playing a superstar, they need LeBron guarding him, especially at the start of the game when they don't have any good defenders out there. If they were going small and Moon was out there, him guarding Durant is fine...but when you put AP on a player like Durant it usually won't end well.
Further, it's not like LeBron was guarding Green or anything. He was guarding Thabo, who is absolutely useless on the offensive end. LeBron partially coasting on the defensive end leads to complacency.
