Sure. Anyone who wanted to take the contract could have had Zach.

We didn't take him because he's a loser.

He's toned his stupidity down quite a bit this season, but consider that the Griz are allowing opponents a 52.7% eFG when Zach is on the court. That's unacceptable for a team that cares about defense and winning.

Plus at some point, you can be sure he'll return to form.

Even though Zach or even a Gerald Wallace/Nazr deal seems elementary now, it was still a lot of risk because the guys who we were considering were too high risk. Zack great right now, would he really been this good on a defensive minded team as a possible 3 option. And even though GForce is having an all star year right now would he get 10 boards or the amount of touches next to Lebron, maybe not but thants neither here nor there.

We are playing like the number 1 team in the league right now and have options to get better. We dont have to force anything but we arent going to sit on our hand like we did the last couple of years and the players available now may compliment more. Iguodala was not available last year and he may be in the same line as GForce but more capable of playing the SG with better ballhandling. Almost any PF we have the ability to go get is a bit better than Zach on D and may be a bit smarter.
DWest(maybe off the block),Jamison, AK(still on the block), and Murphy.

There was no chance. Ferry only goes after players with good character. Z-Bo isn't one of them.

Ferry's first big signings (Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones) didn't work out well. Since then he has been conservative when acquiring players. Zach Randolph would have been a huge risk due to his contract.

I wanted him in Cleveland when the Knicks made him available. That would have been a crazy crazy risk though. Imagine if the Cavs acquire Randolph, everything goes to hell and in the process they help the Knicks clear space then LeBron goes to New York.

With the way things turned out I say Ferry has done a great job and made the right decision not to take that risk. I doubt the Cavs seriously even considered it.

I proposed on this board before the season that the Cavs should trade Z+filler for Randolph under the premise that strong veteran personalities like Lebron and Shaq could keep Randolph focused. As it turns out, Randolph has gotten his act together on his own. If they had pulled that trade off the Cavs would be even more impressive than they are now.

Just a lurking Bucks fan but from all accounts Mo Williams was not a great teammate when he was here.

Honestly, when Mo was in Milwaukee, he sure seemed like a great personality. He seemed like a lot of fun and a good teammate. The only reason there were "reports" of issues were because he and Redd were both shoot-first guards.

We couldn't be happier with Mo's personality. He's a great teammate and he fits right in with the character of this team.
