JJ Hickson

Post#1 » by Cleveland Fan » Fri Feb 5, 2010 2:36 am

Do not trade JJ. Some player just play better than they are with superstars & JJ is 1 of those players. He is way more valuable to the CAV'S than anyone else. Would of Jame Worthy have been a HOF on any other team? Keep JJ.

6 years, 50 mil is not an MLE contract... That's a big deal. I'm fine with it, but it's certainly not MLE.

As for JJ, he has looked much better the last 15 games or so. He is rebounding much better, playing better defense (blocking shots well too), and moving more effectively on offense. I hope JJ continues to improve. His trade value is going up as well if we do decide to trade him to win now.

lol everyone says..brand is crap or whatever..look at the stats...dont let that idiot eddie jordan skew ur view..yea he got hurt 2 years..both unrelated and freak accidents..the 1st was in practice if and the second someone came down on his shoulder...he has healed..when that moron jordan plays him he is prductive he has been a 20/10 guy and will continue to be...and if he has a good coach and players around him skys the limit...he hasnt been lucky enough to have all those at the same time...iggy and lebron on the wing...shaq in the paint..eb with those 14ft jumpers or in the paint..it would be nice..its not eb's fault the morons in philly gave him that contract..if anything he is smart for taking it :D..

I've been one of his harshest critics in the past but he is improving faster than any player I've ever seen. Whereas two months ago he'd make a move to the basket and always get called for travel, now he does a smooth spin move and dunks it.

THANK YOU! and i really do not think anderson is worth that..IMO...but to bench a guy who you just gave all that money to..to play jj seems funny to me right before the deadline..they are showing him to those teams..he is young with potential and at a cheap price...which is what all the teams looking to get rid of there star players want right now

I don't know what you are thanking me for... I think the deal is fine even if it is big. I don't care if he starts or not... He'll play 35 minutes most nights.

There is nothing wrong with depth. We like letting JJ play with the starters because it is helping his development. AV is great off the bench and finishes games for us. Nothing wrong here.

JJ has all the physical tools...he runs the floor like Lebron, has great leaping ability, has some decent footwork/touch around the basket..alot of his issues are mental and confidence related.

You can see him getting better from experience alone...another good summer of work with Lebron, maybe send him to a big man camp...we would have something.

The question is do we have time to wait for him to develop when we are gunning for a title.

 Not all of that is guaranteed, some of it is unlikely incentives.

I like JJ, I really do, but I'm still focused on the main goal and that's a championship for 2010... If moving JJ means the Cavs will give themselves the best possible chance of winning a championship in 2010, I'm moving him without hesitation...

Would like to see him stick around, but the ring is all that matters..

Cav fans are now beginning to see the real JJ. He's adjusting to the NBA game and his confidence is building.

It's also impressive he's able to contribute positively considering no plays are ever run for him. Not to mention he's playing between two future hall of famers...just ask Amare' how tough it can be playing next to Shaq.

The championship is always the goal. Keeping LeBron after 2010 is the ultimate goal. I personally wouldn't move JJ for a 33 year old Jamison.

AV is not worth that to most teams in the NBA, but to the Cavs he's worth every penny of it.

JJ isn't being showcased, look at the bigger picture. MB is starting JJ because with AV coming off the bench there's less drop off in production, he gets to play against opponents second team, it's easier to hide JJ with 4 starters around him while AV can better hold his own and also because AV plays well with Z

JJ reminds me of vintage McDyess. I hope they hold on to him and see what he can do after a solid summer of training.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

What amuses me is how people feel the need to hate on Hickson (and really all things Cavalier) so much.
