Raps fan here. I heard Shaq got hurt last night. I was just wondering if Mike Brown will start Hickson or Varejao.

Varejao will likely start. Hickson is going to be coming off the bench. Varejao is about 6'11". Hickson while more athletic is still only 6'9".

I'm not really sure how this will impact the game against Toronto. I really don't view them as a team that plays much inside so that might mean this won't have much impact with the Cavs at all.

Back to back games, but Chris Bosh most likely continues to sit. Varejao, Jamison, and Hickson should be able to contain the Raptors frontcourt.

I am obviously not happy to see Shaq go down with an injury, but it is good timing with Powe coming back. I am a little exicited to see Hickson/Powe get some extended minutes. I was glad to see that Hickson looked comfortable off the bench last night.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Hopefully Mike Brown learned something last night:

You cannot play the same rotation every game. You have to match up to your opponents. We were forced to play a more athletic lineup, and wow wouldn't you know - Boston struggles against those.

Sigh.....

I think Jamison will find a way to play decent defense in the Cavs system. Remember Jamison has played in Golden State, Dallas, and Washington. None of those teams played any defense but it will be required in Cleveland.

We don't really need Shaq against TOR. Actually (and I love Shaq) we might be better off WITHOUT him against TOR because of their small ball lineups.

I like our chances in an up and down game with the lineup we used last night - Mo/Delonte/LBJ/Hickson/Varejao. Can blend Jamison and Moon in there and we should be able to pull out a win.

this game will be over after the first 3 minutes, I suspect the Cavs open up at 10-0 run to start the game.

Yeah, against a mobile center like AB, Shaq would have difficulties defending him. Varejão, luckly will not.

So guys, how do you think the minutes will be distributed in the frountcourt tonight?

with Bosh out, were can afford to not have Shaq in the game for a win.

At least we don't have to worry about a Twin Tower 5 including Shaq&Z. When Mike Brown did that in the last Raps game I was about to have an heart attack.

Defense isn't better than Toronto's which means terrible.
