Any word to how much Bassy's groin injury is heaeld to the point he can see some mins in some garbage playing time. I know he probally won't see the light of day in while playing in tight games, but may be some minutes when the Cavs have big leads?

I like the thought of holding onto Telfair. I think Cleveland is long overdue for a change of pace guard off the bench.

I doubt Telfair gets out of street clothes the rest of the season.

As it is now our coach cannot even find any minutes for Boobie. Not to mention we are so deep that we'll have to cut Darnell or possibly Green when Z comes back. I personally don't see any room for Telfair except as an expiring contract this summer that will be kept as 15th man cheering from the bench.

I like the thought of holding onto him......until we can use his $2.7M expiring contract next year

He can at least take players off the dribble. I feel our guard play, minus Delonte, is very one dimensional. Mo, Parker, Gibson... there's not much variety there.

Sebastian is still fairly young and has a load of talent. Remember he the first ever point guard to skip college, which was a bad move on his part because PGs need lots of development. I think he could be a contributor off the bench in the future, give the guy a chance.

He would be great for the transition offense when ever the Cavs need to go to a small, fast, uptempo game. I bet Lebron would love play along the side of him on a fast break...there wouldn't be a faster duo in the NBA!

We'd have to make some moves to get him time.

He always seemed a little over rated to me but that was probably the NY playground hype. Who knows what he could have become if he's given Pitino a year or two.

That was the biggest mistake in Telfair's Basketball career. Some kids no matter how talented they are need college or minor leaque or oversea before they come to the NBA

He can't distribute or shoot. His defense isn't great either considering he's basically a midget. So yeah...pretty useless in our offense.

Variety is useless if the player sucks. Telfair falls into the "sucks" category. Mo and Delonte can take players off the dribble, which is enough when LeBron is on the team.

Telfair will only see playing time towards the end of the season (if he even plays at all) when the starters are on limited minutes. Then when he opts into his final year and becomes an expiring he will be on the next plane out of here, thankfully.

Frankly, the only reason why he's not being cut when Z returns is because he will be a decent sized expiring next year.

I wonder what would be chances of the Cavs retaining Telfair of next season...I think he could be an excellent back up to Mo if giving the chance...But he does needs to work with a shooting guru to improve his shooting. Other than shooting, he got everything else down pat...

He's got a guaranteed contract, dude and is on the books for next season... There's a reason why he's here and Darnell was the one that was let go...
