Jamison

How would you rate the addition of Jamison so far? I would say he has been solid, but needs to start making his free throws and open threes. For everyone saying that his D would hurt the Cavs, I think he has been solid at that end of the court as well.

He's been playing well in terms of scoring and rebounding.. His defense has been much better than I had anticipated.. But he would be much more effective if he could hit open shots and FT's consistently.

I think the FTs are the only real problem.

He's played really well and I think his defense has been very solid overall. The threat of him making shots has opened the and I think that multiplies when Shaq is back.
I think he's been as good as we can expect.

To be honest, I was not very aware of what Jamison's game entailed prior to him coming to Cleveland. I knew he was a good rebounder, and had good range on his shot. I do not, however, realize how active he is on offense and that he is willing to run the break. I love that we now have three guys, Jamison/Varejao/Hickson, that can run the break and finish. I agree with the above comment though, he just needs to start hitting his free throws.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Jamison seems to quietly get 17-10 every night...It's amazing when you don't really remember his impact on the offensive end or him on the glass and then you look in the box score and you see 17/10 or 16/12 on 50% shooting,

Hell, if he would hit his 3's and 75% of his FT's, he would be getting a quiet 25 and 11.. It's unreal..

He moves so well off the ball and is so crafty--and yet, he doesn't quite look comfortable out there (rushes things a bit) and he's not even playing all that well in terms of hitting open looks or finishing at the rim like he can and yet he's still so effective... Pretty amazing IMO...

His defense has not hurt us one bit..In fact, I'm a bit impressed with the effort and how quickly he's picked it up....

Wiz fan here and Jamison can be streaky at times. He can go into this slump where he's missing FT's (although nowhere near as bad as he is now) and misses open J's for like 10 games straight. Then however he will flip it and have like 20 games straight where it seems like he never misses a jumper, 3, or open shot so trust me when I say that he's about to get hot. I still think Blatche is a better player though, atleast for us

Jamison is similar to Marion where you basically don't call plays for them; they simply just figure out how to fit into the offense. With that in mind, there's going to be nights where they don't put up big numbers. It's not the same as being a player that constantly has plays being called for you.

I like how he has played so far. His jumper is a little worse than I thought - at least he is missing more open looks than I envisioned. In the game Lebron was out his shot looked MUCH better so it might just be he is used to getting touches and not being used as a spot shooter?

His defense has been much better than I thought though. Actually his defense has been damn solid, he shows well on the pick and roll, rebounds well, plays decent Post-D.

I also think we should give him some more post touches.
