Oh, you knew you liked it. Imagine if Daron were still here, might have spun into a verbal orgy

When Vargas lets a runner on base, he really slows down the game and worries about the runner. Then his command is off and things like that happen. Luckily, the times he has loaded the bases he's come out fine, but he's just gotta settle down if he gives up a single or whatever. He has great stuff and can strike out anyone, but he can't be so concerned about the base runners.

I'm not sure why you guys were complaining so much about the lineup. Hall has struggled big time lately and Gwynn has been playing very well. Plus there is a rightie on the hill, so if you are playing Gwynn you want to do it against a rightie. His D could also be important in the massive CF in Houston.

Weeks has played terribly lately (.185, .233, .333 in the last 6 games) and needed a day off anyway; he hadn't had a day off all year.

Counsell almost always plays versus righties.

Got scary for a minute when Cordero opened up with 7 straight balls.

Just one? The 3rd inning on were terrifying.

Who gets player of the game, Vargas? Someone said on the milwaukeebrewers.com message board we should nickname him Houdini now, he works into jams a lot

Good game by the brewers. We are a much better team than Houston and we showed it again. Go Brewers.
