Look for a trade for a Lefty reliever soon. One of our outfielders will go.

I hope this is the spark we need. The Twins called up Liriano and that helped them make a run for the playoffs. Hopefully Braun will have a similar affect.

I'm glad they finally made the move.

i'm just glad to see the team not being complacent with their lead and everything....they know they need a shot in the arm, and hopefully this is it...plus, glad dessens is gone

Am I the only one on the trade Mench bandwagon?

maybe there was no room left on the first so you're the only one on the spillover bandwagon

No one is going to want to eat Mench's contract. He just isn't that good.

We could package a starter (Bush?) and an outfielder for a dominant reliever. We could then bring up Yo if he has shown enough to the guys up in the offices. I would expect if they did something to this tune that they would bring up Yo to get some practice starts first though.

i would think someone will at some point want outfield help...he can produce at a decent clip playing fulltime....not to mention if you throw an arm in there, you can get some takers

What kind of reliever could we get for Bush and Mench? If we could use Carlos Villanueva to cover starts until Gallardo is ready to start, we might be able to really help our bullpen.

All is good now my friends. Another reason to look forward to the holiday weekend. As long as he hits over .190 with 1 HR, and actually throws the ball to first base on time....then we've improved.
