So braun was going to break up a no hitter. Oooooooooooo
right.......

Braun was gonna score 4 runs.

right right.

Stop being a smart ass. What are the chances Braun strikes out 4 times like Graffanino did? You at least need to let Braun DH. And Ned is a **** idiot for batting Counsell and Graffanino 1-2 whether they were no hit or not.

Chances are pretty good he strikes out or grounds out everytime tonight the way verlander was pitching.

No. I did not say that. But in order for us to win he is our best chance. So we should field our best players at all times. The only position I can see resting a player is a catcher.

Could be we'll never know though but I do know one thing. After a day off where everyone is rested there is NO EXCUSE not to play your best players.

I can agree with playing your best players every day, but who know's why braun wasn't playing. I am sure it wasn't just some brainless strategy

I'm guessing he'll be in the lineup tomorrow so I doubt it's an injury. I also doubt a 23 year old athlete in top shape who just had a day off needed another day of rest.

Maybe he didnt want Braun to lose confidence in facing such a good pitcher. That the only reason I can think of. If so that is over managing. Just let the kid play and get his feet wet. He has been playing very well.

Braun probably wouldn't have had a hit either, probably would have K'd every time. But at least he knows how to swing the damn bat and take some cuts. It's embarassing having Graffy in there and then he bats SECOND? WTF.

Ned loves to use stats, it takes the pressure off of decision making. Graffy was a career 1-2 off Verlander so he's in the lineup batting second.

Might as well get a computer to manage the team.

Note to the Commissioner:
When Verlander's No No is logged into the record books it MUST be followed by an astrisk. It was not thrown against a true major league line up. Doesn't count as a real no hitter.

Grotesque and Counselino batting back to back to back. These three train wrecks wouldn't be strung together on a line up card in A ball.

The Crew has lost 21 out of the last 31 and now a no hitter..........can this young team recover??????????

But they keep battling. They're battlers. Right Ned "we're still in first place" Yost.

I think the brewers should have bunted every single time since they might have been able to get at least one hit.

I was running treadmill at the local fitness place and I nearly puked when I turned on ESPN.

I wish I could say that we've hit rock bottom and there is nowhere to go but up, but I'm not sure if that's the case.

I'm pretty sure the computer wouldn't have had Gross-Counsel-Graffy back to back to back. :nonono:

I was at a bar watching the first 7 innings. Thought if I left karma would come into play and Verlander would give up a hit. Nope.

He had stuff and command of it that I hadn't seen since I watched Kerry Wood strike out 20. He could throw a 100 mph heater and the next pitch throw a ridiculous slider at 81.

Is Gywnn hurt? I wondered why he wasn't out there vs a righty.

Glad I didn't watch this one. Now, I understand that Verlander was dealing, but a bloop, a bunt, anything.
