I think Braun would be a more likely candidate.

Side note: if he doesn't use "Rico Suave" as his walk up song I'm done with this team.

Would have been nice to add Ziegler in this deal, but I'm guessing his $5 million dollar salary for next year was a non-starter.

I think they tried Khris Davis at first and it was a disaster.

can you teach him to play 1st base while wearing 3 inch heels? (for the record it would be him wearing the heels not you, but nothing precludes you from doing so as well)

He'll fit right in. Don't the Brewers lead the majors in TOOTBLANs since 2013? (As if you even need to look it up to make sure, lol.)

"This is a good opportunity to play for Milwaukee. I will do my best to help them win. I'm happy. The Diamondbacks were not playing well but I say thank you to them for my opportunity. But I'm happy to play for a team in first place."

Haven't popped in here for awhile due to the nauseating negativity (especially considering our Brewers have been in first place pretty much the entire season). Just wanted to say this is exactly the deadline I was looking for from Melvin.

1) Don't give up the farm for a Jon Lester or another comparable starter who may barely be better than our 5 guys. Check.

2) Go get someone so I never have to see Logan Shafer again. Check. Bonus, he's LH and a Gold Glover.

I do have to wonder if we were ever in play for David Price. Intrigued with what the Rays would have wanted in return. Now lets go make a run at this thing.

Makes sense. Needed a better 4th OF to allow Braun more rest for down the stretch, unfortunately.

I like Parra, this is a good move.

He also always seemed to hit the ball well against us.

I like the trade but Davis is actually better against righties than Parra is. Don't get any platoon ideas Captain Ron.

Nice little deal here. I'm glad we didn't blow our wad for a guy like Price by giving up Jimmy or Scooter.
