That is honestly on Jean, two terrible bunt attempts either one being good scores Weeks. Kershaw also made a hell of a catch.

Terrible call on that strike which should have been ball 4 so of course the next pitch is a stupid popup. SMH

I don't understand why umpires don't ask for help on checked swings. That should be mandatory.

At least SD is ahead of Pittsburgh right now. Cards and Orioles are in a tight game.

I miss when the bullpen didn't always give up runs.

Adrian Gonzalez has been a one man machine this series.

Marco is so good at giving up home runs that he manages to give up dingers to guys who never hit them.

Marco gonna Marco.
Not that it matters at this point. Pissed away far too many chances earlier in the game to win this one

Incredibly frustrating loss but still a series win and 4-2 home stand. Now take three out of four from the Cubs and see what we can do against these guys next weekend in LA.

Exactly this, we lost to arguably the best pitcher in baseball, hard to be too upset about that and have to be happy going 4-2 against the Giants and Dodgers. Now to beat up on the Cubs.

Shouldn't have too many excuses against the Cubs, but they are still pretty formidable with that revived pitching staff. Arrieta is going to be real tough, Hendricks has been good since coming up, Wada is a decent prospect, Edwin Jackson sucks right now.

That said, please win 3 of 4. Put some space in here with the Pirates and especially Cards. This Pirates/Tigers series will be fun. Even if the Pirates win to keep up with the Brewers, at least they will be fueling one of the better stories of the 2nd half with KC having a legit shot to unseat Detroit.
