A little sad to see him go, even if he wasn't very good.

Apparently jett's dad taught tom cruise to flip bottles for the movie cocktail. What the over/under amount of times you'll hear that on a brewers broadcast next year? I'll take over 50.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

It's a trade of **** for ****, meh.
If bandy can hit, maybe we win this one, if not, I don't think we can lose it.

Yeah seems like a reasonable low risk move. Maldy is what he is at this point, a somewhat decent backup catcher and gagnon style is a nothing prospect. Bandy probably isnt the longterm answer catcher but worth a flyer as a stopgap until they find that guy.

Every time he has his first at bat of the game.
"Interesting story, Rock. You remember the movie Cocktail with Tom Cruise? Jeff's dad is the one who taught Cruise how to flip the bottles."
"Really? That is interesting. Maybe we should sign him up here."
"Hey, great idea, Rock! Who would we have to talk to to make that happen?"

Susac will be everyday catcher and this trade gives us more flexibility. Bandy does still have an option remaining.

Don't forget about Manny Pina. He was quite serviceable in his small(ish) sample size last year.
I'd imagine they rotate the three around in spring and take whichever two they think are the best to open the year, with the third starting every day in AAA.
