We'd still be down a run.

So am I the next victim of the Brewers which will put a dent in my game thread record?

Just fan****ingtastic. I used to be fine with losses and not take them so hard, but My God, WAKE UP. You aren't playing for respect anymore, guys, you are playing for the World Series, and guess what? In a matter of 4 days, you can kiss first place goodbye. WHAT A SHOCK. Teams make runs in baseball?!?!?! I thought that was just in basketball!!!! Fancy that!!!!

Newsflash, Brewers and those Brewer fans who fail to see it, the Cubs ARE for real, and aren't backing down. Now, the team is doing what it can't afford to do, keeping an eye on the division standings, and it's causing them to panic and press and try too hard. The Cubs have put it together at the exact instant the Brewers unraveled yet again, and this time, they aren't letting the Brewers off light. This lead was 7 1/2 games just TWO WEEKS AGO.

Sorry if I sounded like MBBOT, but I'm sick and tired of this team toying with fans over the years. This year, SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN, and they're letting this fantastic opportunity slip away to their rival.

Stop acting like everything's okay, because it's not, and figure out how to ****ing fix it.

Great job there, weffpim. I think this all falls on Yost right now. He NEEDS to get this team motivated to play some better baseball and get them to calm down. If you act like everything is alright too much your team will become lacadaysical. Like our pitching and offense besides hart, braun and fielder right now. WAKE UP!!

How exactly is Yost going to make guys like Suppan and Capuano stop splitting the center of the plate with fastballs or hang offspeed pitches?

Yell at them?
Say calm down and bingo, problem solved?

I'm no big Yost fan,but the starting pitchers are stinking up the joint and i'm not exactly sure how Yost is supposed to "motivate" them into making better pitches.I don't think Capuano went to the mound tonight and thought to himself, ahhhhh who gives a crap if i do well or if we win,i'll just walk a some guys and get to the shower quicker.

By not going out and talking to them...same with Maddux.

Everytime either one of them goes out and talks to a pitcher bad things happen. They're probably saying some stupid crap like don't give in, make him hit it, I believe in you. And then that somehow gives Suppan and Capuano confidence that they can groove their 88 mph fastballs right down the heart of the plate and not have it get crushed.

I'm surprised that Yost gets roasted for everything and Maddux always receives a pass.

That's a very good point. Maddux has been very good the last few seasons in turning mediocre pitchers into good ones, but this season (off and on) this pitching staff has drastically underachieved, and Maddux's track record from before is letting him off the hook.

Very true, and I agree with you. Yeah, all of our pitchers instead of Sheets and Bush are horrible right now. But couldn't Yost and Maddux tell them to get some extra work in during the week? Or maybe sit down Capuano for a start? It really is obvious that Capuano isn't 100% ready to pitch yet. He's just not very good right now.
