OT: Chris Carpenter to have Tommy John's Surgery

ESPNEWS just broke it. He's out for the rest of 2007 and alot of 2008...
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

Well, this pretty much means the Cards are out of it. Finally!

Now the Cards have two useless pitchers on their roster for the rest of the year. Carpenter and Mulder. It's too bad for them because they had one magical year and now they won't do much for awhile.

I feel bad for Carpenter, but it was about time. The Cardinals have been too good for too long.

On offense, Albert Pujols and Chris Duncan are the only ones who have produced.

Their rotation has been a mess. I mean, since when is having Adam Wainwright as your ace a good thing?

Their bullpen has been the only part of their ballclub contributing.
