He was a good hitter early in his career, but then he had to go on roids so he could become the greatest hitter this world has ever seen.

Just check him out early in his career.

Look at how he turned into this:

The plasma and recliner thing was being blown out of proportion even before the steroids scandal came to light. They wanted this guy and even without a failed test they have him now. Whatever.

Nobody makes a big crap out of Favre and his separate LOCKERROOM. Not just a chair and television, a whole separate LOCKERROOM. But Barry is teh evil. Yeah, whatever.

I'm pretty sure Barry is an ass who was on roids but I think most baseball players were on them too, so while the record is clearly tainted(as are most baseball records) I still enjoyed watching the guy play and I will certainly cheer him if he hits one(or two) on Sunday.
F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

This isn't about his friggin' plasma screen TV or recliner it's about him breaking the most prestigious record in all of sports and him breaking the rules and being a complete jag.

Breaking the rules and being a jag. In baseball?? You don't say.

Yeah, still not feeling the outrage. What happened happened. There's no changing that. I think it's possible to look at this thing in context* without all of the faux-outrage.

*The context being that it's tainted as hell

I really, really wish injuries never hampered Griffey's career. Because even if Bonds breaks the record, people would've just been like "well Griffey will actually break it legitimately soon anyways."

I definitely agree with that. Without injuries Griffey might have been the best to ever play the game.

Why in the hell would you cheer bonds if he hit HR against the Brewers?

If he breaks the greatest record in baseball if not all of sports, for one of the greatest players in baseball history. I don't see how you don't cheer for him.

umm, if he's beating the team I root for in the process, of course I'm not going to cheer him, especially since he cheated. Just common sense.

So you wouldn't even give him the respectfull appaluse . If e broke it.

Everyone cheated in 90's era and probably even before that. You can't single out one guy because he is a great player. Who knows how many times he used steroids and how many years he even used them.

I wouldn't even get out of my seat. And I don't care if a ton of players did it in that era, it does not make it right for any of them. One thing I do know is that Aaron DIDN'T do it, and Aaron is also a class act, while Barry, quite obviously, is not.

Of course it doesn't make it right. I never said that. But that whole ERA did steroids none of them had power like bonds or the plate discipline as Bonds. No one really knows how many HR it effected his swing or his Power.

For me it would depend on what was happening in the game. If it was a blow out either way then I would cheer.
