That little perturbed grimace of his that he makes when he knows he has f*cked up fills me with a strong desire to punch his lights out.

Had to use him. Everyone else has been used so much. You can't really have two guys in your bull pen that you are just waiting to use in a blow out game.

What about today's game (7/23), livestrong4ever? Did Yost HAVE to use him this time? FYI, Unused pitchers in today's game: Villanueva, Spurling, Parra, Cordero. What about Yost's decision not to have anyone warming up behind a pitcher who had pitched exactly two Major League innings in two and a half years (and did not look good in those two innings) coming into today's game, did Yost HAVE to do that as well?

BTW, in Balfour's first outing [7/18], he was the FIRST reliever Yost turned to. You could successfully argue that the bullpen as a whole was overworked going into that game, but to say that Yost's only option was Balfour is an impossible stretch. This just once again goes to prove my point that when you defend Yost, you generally end up looking foolish. The man is an idiot, just accept it.
