Now, at 23, he's doing his best A-Rod impersonation with the bat.

"I don't think my goal is to put up numbers like him," Braun said, "but if I'm doing that, I think it's all right."

Gotta love that cocky attitude and the comparison to Pujols is just awesome.

Oh no doubt. I would never wish for him to get hurt. I'm merely saying with Braun's production as of late he looks like a near lock for ROY. Probably even if Pence hadn't gotten hurt.

But I thought that the league would figure out Braun in a month and he'd slow down!!!!

Braun is just a natural, you can't teach what he does.Having him and Prince back to back for the next 4 seasons at least is so huge for the lineup going forwad. You're talking about two good average great power guys that haven't even hit their primes yet and we don't have to be worried about losing either for awhile.

The next few year a huge key will be finding two guys that can get on base well in those 1-2 spots in the lineup ahead of Braun/Prince.IMO Hardy should have to get on base better to stay in that 2-hole spot next year. He's at .327 this year and has a .322 OBP in 859 big league at bats so far,not what you want with two great RBI hitters following. Can't drive in guys sitting in the dugout.

I like Pence, he's a terrific player. He'll have a fine career but he's definitely a notch down from Braun.

Unfortunately, Hardy is a "natural 2 hitter" according to Yost. I'd imagine Weeks will have to be the high OBP guy at the top, or we'll just leave Hart up there.

Braun will win the ROY for 2 reasons:

1. The Astros **** suck.

2. Braun is playing better (and with fewer at-bats too).
