So cause you guys playing better baseball it makes Fontenot better than braun. Please show me some stats that back that up.
Here is Brauns
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/s ... erId=28721
Here is Fontenots
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/s ... yerId=6098
So if you consider Fontenots better than I guess you have some serious homer issues. Or just need to stop smoking Crack

God damn, get a new tampon. Jeez, a couple losses and you're flipping out.trwi7 wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
Fontenot another 27 year old scrub although he did have a better minor league career than "The-Riot" which isn't that hard to accomplish by the way. But nice job trolling you **** douche.
I'm kidding, but jeez.

My tampon is placed perfectly right now and I haven't gotten my period yet so there's no need to remove it.
But seriously you have no idea what it's like to be a Brewers fan. I've never seen this team in a pennant race so I have no idea how to react.

Yeah but you've seen the Cubs in the playoffs. I can't say the same for the Brewers.

Big deal. Don't be crying after every loss like I see you doing. 162 games..
I'm not crying I'm venting frustrations which is totally allowable.

I've always been a backer of Yost
Based on what?
Managers in baseball are less important than coaches in other sports,i certainly don't think Ned is some big cause of the struggles we are seeing. Then again,i do think many of the boneheaded choices he makes outweigh the positives he brings by handling a clubhouse.
To me Yost has to much George Bush in him.A stubborn straight forward type who thinks to much with his gut vs thoughtful rationale.Overall though i do think in general many fans to harshly nitpick every choice a manager makes that backfires and by simple odds that will happen alot over 162 games.

i disagree with that statement. i think their job is just as important as any other sport. that would be like me saying 'basketball coaches don't do anything but watch the players shoot.'
a manager's job is to cultivate the talent (who do you think makes the decisions on how to mold these players?), make sure everyone is doing their job properly (coaches and players), but most of all, make important snap decisions by analyzing the given situation with math and wisdom. it is the manager's job to make the most positive decision he can make in a very short amount of time. his job, as somebody more knowledgeable than me once said, is to create favorable matchups. those who do that more often than not end up winning more games. and since the job of the guy in the other dugout is the same, managers must become quicker and craftier with these decisions to win more games. it's like chess. he moves one piece, you move one piece. and whoever makes the most good moves generally wins.
ned yost makes stupid moves. you're right, because he uses his gut and not his head, as evidenced by this bite about the horrendous double steal the other night:
"I just felt real strongly that Jenks was going to put the ball in play there," Yost said. "My intention was not to try and steal a run there. I felt like Jenks was going to put the ball in play. ... That's my fault."
and that single move may have cost us the game. heck, the damn lineup he used may have. you know your players' strengths and weaknesses, you build them up to be better in as many of those areas as you can, and you know the enemies' as well, then you exploit all those factors to the best of your advantage. you don't just feel real strongly and justify your actions that way. that's why larussa's team took it all last year. he managed his way to a series win. it wasn't a happy accident because the cardinals were so good. you put the players you trained in good position to execute, then if you trained them well enough, they execute your directives.
like 'bunt', ned. it's this weird thing other teams are doing.
