I enjoy the little rivalry on the boards.. It's funny both ways.

Feel free after a bad Cubs loss to rub it in.

yeah, but that would mean that you guys would actually have to lose a game this season.

but how awesome would a brewers-cubs nlcs be? i know its unlikely, but if it happens, how sweet would that be?

For the sake of my sanity, I will not really to begin to freak out until the last couple weeks of September. Even if we somehow fall behind the Scrubbies, I won't give up on the chance that we'll either take the division back anyway or make a run at the wild card.

So, until then, this is just another loss.

As I said a few days ago you guys are better than the D'backs, Padres, and Braves IMO.
Even if the Cubs take the division lead I wouldn't put my head down.

Hopefully, for the sake of your sanity, the Brewers will be back to .500 for the season and 8 games out by the end of September, that way you will be saved from having to freak out at all this season as we will be completely out of the race.

And if that is the case, then we can think about some drastic steps with Yost and Co.

But I highly doubt we'll fall that far back.

Yes, but I would be far more satisfied with a division victory than a wild card berth. But either way, playoffs are a must.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek as I replied to your first post, so please don't think that I would like that scenario to play out (or think it is likely that the Brewers' season will turn out that way). As much as I dislike Yost, I would gladly trade a bad end to the season and Yost being fired for the Brewers making the playoffs this season and having to put up with Yost for another season (or longer).

Well, I think we would all make that trade.

Wouldn't we?

WOULDN'T WE?

It almost goes without saying, but based on your interpretation of my post I thought maybe it would be best for me to affirm my status as a Brewer fan first and a Yost hater second.

No he's always been a Cubs fan but he only shows up around here when the Brewers are doing bad and the Cubs are doing good.

Ruben is an idiot, end of story. About as fairweather as you can get too.

No one can be a Cubs and Brewers fan. He's a pile.

Thanks for having class when we are having a hard time. Frustrating to be a Brewers fan the last 25 years. :banghead: :D But what is new.
