When he's arrogant it's kind of funny to me and I've got to see how he handles the last couple months of this race before I could really write him off. I wish his "you get it done and get out of the inning or I'll-- I'll-- I'll be really disappointed if you give up 4 runs" pep talk on the mound were more effective.

I bet Jim Skaalen feels like Butch Wynegar right about now; if batters are going to go up and swing out of their shoes half the time, there's only so much of an ass-kicking anyone in the dugout can give them.

Yep, you did. You're quicker to the draw than me  .

What the h*ll are you talking about?

I guess I'll look at the bolded parts.

For the first one, he seems kind of like, "I don't care what your question is or what the fans think. I had a reason for making that decision and I might tell you or I might not." It's nice that he sticks to the one-game-at-a-time whether they're winning or losing, and sometimes when they lose he comes across like "well **** it, you couldn't have done any better."

Willie Randolph had a sling on during this last series, he had something like rotator cuff surgery recently.

Edit: I definitely laughed more at Yost than with him about that collarbone thing, not that he was laughing. Why would he even try to be secretive, did he think he was sending a message to the team about playing through injuries?

I guess to summarize for the record, I'm a Yost supporter. Not a diehard or anything, there's no excuse for that awful road record.

Don't get me wrong, I can respect that. I can't understand it, but I can respect your staunch support of Yost. Listen, I don't even mind saying that I could be totally wrong about Yost. I mean, who knows, maybe he is a good manager on a team which has a personnel problem, and the reason why Yost frequently makes decisions that don't make sense to me is because his managerial style is handicapped by the makeup of the roster. I don't think it's likely, but it is certainly possible.
