That was a grind but glad to win the series.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We could have easily swept this series, or alternatively, with a couple bad pitches, we could have been swept. I'll take 2 of 3.

Any game where the inexplicably rostered Oliver ‘Ducky’ Drake does not see game action is a beautiful day at the ballpark. Series win against the ‘Classies’. Still generally playing for s***. I’ll take 7-6 and hope it gets better? It’d be great to see Guerra of 2 years ago on a consistent basis given the tenuous state our pitching staff.

I really wanted a ‘maid me!’, RS. Feeling like Hoover sucked that away from us.

I was hoping he would start the season in the rotation over Woodruff. Still don't think Woodruff is quite ready for the big show.

I didn't watch the game, just half followed online. When I read "coaching visit to the mound" followed by "Matt Ablers replaces Josh Hader" I almost lost my sh*t. Glad Albers was able to secure the win but why in the world would you pull Hader there?

And Barnes blew it in the 9th.

Then again, we stole some wins late also.

As much as the save stat can be overrated and many closers overpaid, we are seeing how scary and frustrating it can be not being able to close out wins.

One bright side though for me was how good Williams has looked. Hopefully Counsell starts using him more often in high leverage situations and not worrying that he is a rookie vs turning to scrubs like Drake instead, just because he has more experience.

When Drake pitches, I just feel like bag nighting it every single night. Just get that guy off this team. That's my only request. I've loathed him since he blew a game last season on a West Coast trip. Came on for a 'Save' opportunity and just threw one meatchunk after the next and gave up 3 runs. It's a near certainty he's going to blow it in high leverage situations. :nonono:
