This is a strong contender for the worst game I've ever watched. You cannot make up the amount of stuff that had to go wrong for that to end in a loss after we went up 5-2.

Talk about having a team's number. Just never felt comfortable about that game. It was playing out like Murphy's law. The rain pouring down was a metaphor.

Jennings is very erratic as a stopper, but Kratz should have been able to slap on that tag. Add another thing he can't do. He should be dfa'd.

Can you appeal to have the game stopped? I mean it was **** downpouring and there is zero chance it didn't have an effect on how that one ended.

Yeah , seems it would be tougher to hit than pitch in that rain though...

I don't know where it ranks all-time, but I can't recall one in a few years like this.

Take your pick:

--The error leading to an extra run on the Pirates homer
--Aguilar leading the ball go through
--Cain costing us a run stealing third, Yelich base hit a minute later
--Knebel
--That fiasco in the rain

Beyond frustrating to the point of absurdity.

That was tough tough loss. Wow. Glad I did not watch it live. I have been changing around my shifts at work so I can watch more brewers games in the 2h. Hopefully my planning ahead doesn't jinx it.

Well, hopefully we can get the Cubs to let their guard down a bit, now!

Oh yeah - this it to be expected by now. Blow your entire lead you have on the Cubs in one week. I’m not sure if this makes Stearns think we need help right away or think we need more time to develop and not be Buyers anymore...?

It's hard to overcome payroll inequities ... very, very hard ... this is what happens most every year. I was hoping this year would be different.

Hope I’m wrong but with the way things have gone, being even a few games behind the cubs seems like we won’t catch them. We’re gonna have to play like we did the entire first half (before this 6 game abomination) and hope the cubs have a bad week or two. I feel like we’ll look back at this at years end and say “if we’d only went 3-3 instead of 0-6 during that stretch going into the ASG, we’d have won the division.” Last year was the perfect example of 1 game can mean everything. I know that last statement sounds like something Tim Allen from 105.7 would say but it really is true.

By the way, what the hell happened to our invincible bullpen? It’s beyond frustrating how fragile the pshyche of a closer/reliever is. Knoebel has seemed like a shell of himself all year and I really don’t trust him anymore.

Just once want CC to let his starters go 8 innings... I mean WTF pulling him after 73 pitches and a one hitter going...

The only reason our starters look good is because they aren't allowed to go 7 or 8 innings. They would get destroyed the third time through the order.

In fairness though not a ton of starters in the NL go that deep anymore. Obviously the Scherzer and so on do but the other 90% of starters in the NL dont go much past the 6th. Probability says the 3rd time through lineup is the most vulnerable. So why go that route if you dont have too. Just like shifts. Play the probability.

Then he could let him face one hitter at a time right?
