I fear the Dodgers offense a little bit. They've been really really good for a month now it seems. They also have a damn good starting rotation. But, man oh man, what a ride we are on. What a ride.

Sadly, I had to work on my new house all day today as the father-in-law was in attendance and needed to do some things with me. I can't believe I missed the Brew Crew close it out...and, I'm thankful as all get out I missed that Packers game. Whew.

Hell, I wanted the Cubs. I was wary of the Rockies and they got 2 runs in3 games.... Let's go ....

Unless Freeland shut out the Brewers, it wouldn't have mattered. Colorado scored zero runs.

Oh yeah the dodgers look like a juggernaut right now and should be the favorite.

But I can't count this squad out, they have been a joy to watch this year.

If you look at it from an outsider perspective there is no bigger juggernaut than us right now.

the bull pen will be fun to watch the next series vs dodgers offense. Being able to bring in an all star closer in the 7th, 8th, and 9th?
Lets see if Knebel/Hader/JJ can keep it up. Then Soria/Burnes in the 5th and 6th. In a do or die game 7, does CC go to a BP game?

He could have shut us out. He's been that good recently. But even if he doesn't entirely shut us out, he's their ace and you don't let yourself get swept without using him. They had him warming up in the bullpen in the early innings just in case - which is silly when they could have just run him out there to start.

Games involve swings of momentum. Marquez gave up a run in the first inning, another in the fourth, and Oberg gave up two more runs in the sixth, effectively killing any excitement from that Rockies crowd and making those Rockies hitters get nervous. Maybe shutting us out - or at least limiting us to a couple runs - makes that 9th inning a lot more interesting from a club and fan perspective, instead of a stadium that was 40% full with a lineup that was already checked out.

OK, well then they'd have lost in game 4 with Marquez on the mound, probably.

...or, not? Maybe after winning game three, the confidence that goes into game 4 helps them win that game? Then the pressure is on the Crew heading into Game 5.

Their offense would have had to wake up, unquestionably. Maybe going with Freeland in Game 3 is all for nought. But if I'm a Rockies fan, I'm pissed that our stud ace didn't get a start in this series.

Yeah, I dunno. Didn't mean to get into this one. I'd probably have pitched Freeland but probably relatively insignificant given the outcome and the fact that Marquez is pretty good. Go Brewers.

Let's take the Dodgers/Braves talk into the lead up thread.
