You do not ride "the guys that got you here" when you're "here" and you're not getting the job done. 6.35 ERA and a 2.82 WHIP in the postseason. You're playing with fire when you're trotting that out there and the season is on the line.
Hopefully Counsell's faith gives Jeffress a confidence boost and his next time out he's right, but he should have an EXTREMELY short leash in any appearance.
