You forgot to finish your sentence and you mispelled a word. What you meant to say was Put the caps in this teams ass.

Counsell is so scrappy and gritty that we'll get 5 runs in his at bat even if he makes an out.

Predictions on Yost's post game comments:

A) We hit some balls hard, but just right at them.

B) Gallardo made some good pitches, but the Cards were able to hit them.

C) We are still in 1st place.

You know who would be a worse manager than Ned Yost?

D) Capuano is now the ace of our staff.

E) We are working on getting Ben Hendrickson back in Milwaukee.

F) Craig Counsell's batting stance gives me boners.

Great Victor Santos is pitching for the Reds. Half game lead folks.

August 25th. That's when the Cardinals will have sole possession of first place...

unless...

We stop this 4-9 slump we are in during the month of August. Since the break we've been garbage (13-18 since July 13th - which just happens to be the day I got discharged from the Navy).

NL Central since July 13th (in order of current standings)
Milwaukee Brewers - 13-18
Chicago Cubs - 16-16
St. Louis Cardinals - 17-15
Houston Astros - 15-16
Cincinnati Reds - 16-15
Pittsburgh Pirates - 9-21

as you can see, only the Pirates haven't gained ground on us since the break.

Only FIVE teams in all of Major League Baseball have worse records since the All-Star break than our FIRST PLACE (and in sole possession I might add) Milwaukee Brewers. Those five teams being the Detroit Tigers (14-20), Los Angeles Dodgers (12-19), Pittsburgh Pirates (9-21), San Francisco Giants (12-22), and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (12-21).

Well fellow Brewer fans, I think we need to count our lucky stars and take it as a sign from God himself that we are supposed to be in first place seeing that we are still in sole possession of it after being in the lower 20 percent of Major League Baseball since the break...
