Pretty heavy splits so I'm guessing Sogard will get in on the platoon there as noted by Turk.

Unless Hiura is on the move...
I dont get this, Hiura could be on the move.... We have Urias and Arcia and a bunch of old guys. How does getting Sogard and Gyrko, equal, gettimg rid of your young stud hitter?

I get that it is cool to think about what we could get in return. I just dont see what team will offer enough for him.

More of a hail mary idea but they have a couple of paths:

1. Start Urias in AAA, dump Arcia at some point.
2. Stick with Arcia (or sign a SS/use Sogard there a bit), trade Hiura, Urias at 2B.

The point, though, is that Arcia doesn't seem to make sense right now unless Urias is starting in AAA. Maybe he's even more throwaway than I think (and I have a low value on him at this point) but if Urias is their shortstop then at the very least, Arcia is gone.

They've got all of the spots overloaded is the idea so someone is likely on the move. Maybe all it is is trading Arcia for a bag of baseballs or cutting him around Spring Training...but they have too many everyday players for too little starting spots unless I'm miscalculating that they would keep Arcia as a bench glove or start Urias in AAA.

I wonder if they give it Spring Training, hope Urias's presence lights a fire under Arcia, and then they trade Arcia once he hits .375 in ST. I'd imagine his value is pretty low right now, so hopefully a great ST bumps it up.

My first thought is we got a lot worse this offseason, losing Moose and Grandal. My next thought is, hmm, but every year Stearns unearths gems or bounceback guys.

Looking at this roster, it seems we went heavy on analytics, platoons and bounceback, which I can get behind. Really wish we would have signed Donaldson for that number though, I think that would have been a difference maker.

The first name always sticks. I live in AZ and people still call the park the Bob (bank one ballpark) even though it changed like 10 years ago.

If we ever stop calling it Miller, I'm going to call it RamJam Field. It sounds much better, and it represents how corporate name changes are imposed* on fans and communities.

*Don't assume I'm excessively annoyed by it; it's just kind of lame.

I'll never call it that. I hate stupid corporate names of stadiums/arenas.

...like Miller Park?

Anyway, the Brewers are the only team without a prospect in the top 100 of MLB's annual rankings. Good times.

I'm just going to throw this out there, Keston Hiura will be 24-25 in 2021. This is a real 'home run' for the Brewers...I kid I kid.

I would be happy if they just make it the same in both leagues, don't really care which it is.

How much do these MLB clubs hate having their players go home and play in the offseason?
